I doubt that's the last we see of him.
Oh, and that scratching through your skull to your brain thing? Actually happened. (Not itching powder related, I should note. And really, was that ever actually a kid-urban-legend? I suspect that one was more of a L&O style ripped from the headlines obscure medical journals.)
Yeah, scratching your brains out was new to me.
But I also have a hard time with an eleven-year-old who still believes in (and is scared of?) the tooth fairy, but I will apply handwavium! It's so useful.
The kid was GREAT. Those eyes.
The episode seemed to go so quickly, didn't it? And Ever Carradine was also fantastic, but she usually is. Really interesting idea, which they've before explored -- half-demon children. Seems like if Azazel had a plan for his Special Kids, why weren't more demons out there procreating?
The actual story on the itch thing was this woman who had this itch (after surgery or an injury or something, I can't remember) that would not go away - [spoiler fonted for the squeamish, but it's no grosser than the actual fact of it]
she was on all kinds of drugs, therapy etc. for years. They even severed the nerve endings to her scalp. She slept in a special helmet with big mitts on her hands to keep from scratching it in her sleep. And still, she managed to get them off and scratch through one night. So much ew.
But at least she didn't feel anything?
I loved Action Figure!Castiel!
Ok, watched with CJ and laughed so hard at Dean being bored (and the nurse was hot). Then I had to explain. Bless.
I simultaneously found myself not wanting to see a kid around Bobby all the time, and yet wanting to see Uncle Dean and Uncle Sammy.
My question (which I think I blurted out while we were watching) was "So, were you guys planning on TELLING Bobby that you're bringing him the Antichrist?" Because really, not a thing that should be just dropped on someone.
And they made a point and then underscored that the nurse's name was "Jen," something fic writers insist on calling Jensen.
This vid is being rec'd all over my flist. There's no streaming link for it, but it's worth watching.
There's a YouTube link for this one, as well as download links. Also excellent, I think.
