Oh man, was anyone else expecting Sam to just suddenly turn and knife him?

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Uh, just a little bit.
I was suddenly completely convinced that's what was going to happen, Ailleann! Thank god it didn't.
And welcome, lwadams! Stay, post!
I was afraid Sam was going to try to be all stoic and change his mind--"Thank you, really ... Thank you. But you were right." Phew.
oof. these boys wreck me on a daily basis.
JP totally nailed creepy ass mo-fo and it's just not a brother on brother confrontation without Dean's one, lonely man tear.
I thought both of them played the differences so well -- JP going from Lucifer to Sam in that last scene, and JA playing the differences between now!Dean and future!Dean, which were really subtle.
It's always jarring to see previews for a wacky, MotW episode after something like this, but maybe we can assume Zachariah needs some time to regroup with his troops?
I have tried writing a post three times and get stuck in the GAH, BOYS and the ACTING and the HEARTBREAK. Must rewatch. Glad I'm working from home tomorrow.
Also glad next week looks like a lighter episode. Yes, the preview was jarring tonight, but they need some lightness.
I don't want Sam to say yes to Lucifer. Not because it would be wrong, or because it would be hell on earth, or any of that stuff. No, it would be hella skeery because that was just damned creepy. Don't do that, JP!
Or, in other words, good job!
So, in the future Dean's voice is even more growly? If we go ten, fifteen years ahead is he gonna be even using speech at all, or just grrrrah, grrr, graaggh, grrruuuhg!
So yeah, I liked it. I thought it was kinda poignant the brothers met up at the handoff spot for the colt in Salvation. Did anybody have money on how many eps they were going to spend apart?
(My thoughts, since LJ is down)
Oh, that phone conversation was hard to watch.
Hey look, it's a Palin shaped anvil! (I kind of love that)
Oh no! Not the Impala!
Panties!
Why not bang a few gongs before the lights go out.
Lucifer!Sam is SO FRICKING AWESOME
BOYS! YAY BOYS!
OH, I LOVED THIS EPISODE
Welcome lwadams!
Dear Kripke, yes, I get it. The Prophecy is a good movie, and the cosmology from the Sandman comics is indeed awesome.
I liked this episode, but my favorite parts were all the ones with Castiel.
