They do have cell phones, after all (which the show has already set up as the way Castiel will get in touch with them), and the circumstances are by no means the same as they were when Sam left for Stanford.

I sort of hope they don't actually repeat the car gimmick, because that would be a little silly. It seems like something War thought would be funny, given his twisted sense of humor, but then again ... it did disappear with him.
