I just heard back from her, and it has to do with a story she's writing for the spnmeanttobe community on lj. Which makes sense, because I can't imagine that there wouldn't have been a massive outcry if something like that had actually happened.
Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
It did happen. He handled it pretty gracefully. There's an audio file here, the last one on the page, "Jared and Jensen". Jared comes on about halfway through, and the PETA question and response is at almost the end of the file.
Sound, video files and pictures at the Superwiki, here. J2 was on Sunday.
Mention was made of the two sitting far apart onstage, and lacking the rapport of other cons. I don't know if they're cooling it for the audience or if there is trouble between them, but people who saw them filming together said they were laughing and carrying on as usual. I'm inclined to think it's toned down for the fans because they're tired of the whole J2 thing. I wouldn't blame them.
A short article from The Ausiello Files wherein Kripke once again plays coy with the idea of a 6th season. I didn't see anything spoilery there.
My fellow Supernatural fans - are any of you Verizon DirecTV customers? I'm contemplating switching to their service and I'm having trouble finding CW or The CW listed on their channel charts. Is that considered a local channel? Or would it mean that I wouldn't be able to view the Apocalypse?
I don't have Verizon but I do have DirecTV and yes, CW is considered a local. Which means that sometimes it's included and sometimes it's not. I didn't have it in New Mexico, but I do have it in Arizona.
thought y'all might get a kick out of this.
I like very much, tiggy. Thanks! :-)
Picked up my S4 dvds at Target today, as sets throughTarget have the bonus disc of the 2008 (pre-S4) LA ComiCon panel.
The extras are really slick, I'll give them that. I kind of miss the rough-cut, slapped together shoestring budget, do it for the love of the thing and the fans that the earlier season dvds had.
But the extras--extremely heavy on theology, and with input by several consultants. What's amazing is they've collected all this amazing classical artwork and used it juxtaposed with series footage to illustrate how SPN is using theology and mythology to tell its story. The extras are beautifully produced and presented, and I'm just gobsmacked at the research done to come up with such glorious and illustrative images.
Oh, and the gag reel is as cute and funny on a 42" screen as it is on YouTube.
Has anyone heard anything about easter eggs on the discs?
Sounds great, Bev! I'm anxiously awaiting delivery from Amazon. Need to clear out my DVR for next week. 8 more days! Woo hoo! :-)
There are some easter eggs in the heaven-purgatory-hell sections.
whitefonted because I don't know if it should be.
