Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Did people know that there are Supernatural calendars?

Calendar 1; Calendar 2 (numbered in the order I spotted them).

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Ahhoo, hooo! And his hair was perfect.

What earworm?

You know? I really liked it. Lack of tension, not enough script to fill up the timeslot, yadda. I *liked* that they weren't sniping and carving chunks off each other. I *liked* the slower pace, that felt like they were actually getting some words out--more, that they were hearing each other. Also, that first scene on the shore with the green cooler of continuity geekiness--wasn't that pretty?

Kate got a monologue, a long one, and they didn't rush it. It was a longer monologue than anybody's had in, like, ever. And the camera lingered on her face, a couple of reaction shots of Dean, maybe one of Sam, I don't remember. But the whole episode felt like the aftermath of some cataclysmic event, when everything goes quiet and slow.

I hope the writers are allowing the guys to take time and feel their way back to a working and a brotherly relationship. They've both been at fever pitch for a long time, run into the ground. Maybe this can be a healing hiatus for them. Wouldn't that be nice?

I know I'm tired of all the strife, anger, accusations and recriminations. I'm worn raw by it--so how much worse would they be--if, you know, they were real. I liked this ep a lot, even with the Anvils of Parallelism. It's been a long time since I actually *liked* an episode.

Because books.

Oh, I liked it, too! "We time" melted my heart, and Dean's ribbing about Sam's elbow. That's why it was hard for me to be too bummed about losing the potential of Demon Dean -- it was so nice to see them being brothers again.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I wanted more Demon!Dean (not just 'cause he was hot), but I think that it would have gotten old quickly. Another ep or two wouldn't have hurt, though. I miss the Crowley and Dean interaction. cue "Hey There Lonely Girl" .

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Yeah, the ep was fine, it was just one or two more episodes of Demon Dean would have been more arc-y. Because you know we're going to be going over and over it this season, and there should have been more "it" to get over.

Have we ever seen them wear shades before when it wasn't parody?

Strix, I can't picture shades before. It did jump out at me as being different.

Maybe we will get flashbacks of demon!Dean. Though seeing him being a slightly more relaxed Dean was nice. I'm all for the brothers bonding again and renegotiating their relationship.

Art Crawl!!!

I can't help but think that the un-demoning of Dean was too easy. I mean, he still has the Mark of Cain - does it just stop working now?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I mean, he still has the Mark of Cain - does it just stop working now?

Well, they do keep mentioning it. I don't think that's for nothing.

I'm glad the un-demoning was easy. They had the recipe canonically right there, and I am on the record with how tired I am of Crowley. I have no doubt he'll be around, a lot. But at least this is a little but less than it could be.

I don't read this thread because I am still several seasons behind. watching S7 Ep 15 right now, have several questions.

So this is the ep where S&D go back to Coeur D'Alene Idaho - they think a demon is back that the exorcised 4 years before.

1) when they go to find the host the demon used before they don't throw holy water on him….why?

2) if they don't think the demon has repossessed this guy, but they think he will, why don't they put one of the do not possess thingies on the guy?

it just seems like a load of stupid on their part thus far.

ok, well I finished the ep and I guess neither of those things would have mattered.
