Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Also, Quickreaver made a thing for Ash48 for S10. GoT-SPN crossover or not, the graphic is *gorgeous*.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

At first I fell in love with a show with goodlooking angst and surprising character choices. Then it became a show that did "things". Not over many, but things nonetheless.

When it goes away I won't have a show that thinks nothing of shipping the show with God/the writer, or inserting layers in reality and removing walls.

There isn't a season I'd go back to say and do "This one! Again! Again!". I'm so damned happy we got all of them, and that it's a diverse show where you can always tell where you are.

I am skeptical of people reading Misha's twitter for information. Isn't his picture in Wikipedia for "fanbait"?

I'm still reading so many summaries/tumblr posts crying about how a) they were promised D/C and b) the writing ruined it, and I thought "Being D/C does not make these my people"--in fact I found my name listed in the anon meme as a Destelier who is reasonable..

I think the show bears the weight of a huge fandom, despite the scheduled departures, and I think that's what will break it. It's still low rated and cheap as hell.

Well, Pedowitz is a really avid fan. I don't know if that's personal or brings-my-network-money. But at least they won't be on the bubble for renewal unless show really tanks. And at this point, they seem pretty unsinkable.

Even though shippers seem more vicious in SPN fandom than in any other I can remember. For all I've always been emotionally invested in Sam and Dean, shipping has never been the major draw for me, for this show or any other.

Now I'm just kicking back, looking at the pretty, and being mildly amused and entertained. I lost emotional investment sometime after mid-S7, even though I fought that notion for a while. I mean, even in the finale, I'm not thinking "Oh no, Dean!" or "Poor Sam!" I'm going, "Nice choices, Jared." and "Jensen really doesn't do limp well."

And truthfully, while I am very fond of Mark Sheppard, I wouldn't cry real tears if Crowley disappeard up his own arsehole forever. I'm tired of his character. I do think it's hilarious that Crowley's outlasted his characters on BSG, Burn Notice, Dollhouse, White Collar, Warehouse 17, Leverage, and whatever other shows he's been on. Michael Caine of the early two thousands.

There is finally a possibility of Sheppard redeeming himself this season with a tightly integrated point, but they could also take the too much to 200.

Tending to a fan favourite who plays a bad guy rarely leads to good things. That's why only Leverage, IMO, did his recurring status any good.

He's changed SPN for the worse, just to excuse his next appearance. But now there's a real potential for him to be a demon (uh, should we resolve that???) and around a lot.

My exact feeling when I realised the Mark was going to make him a demon was "Shit, did what Alistair couldn't. Shit--Sam! Shit--Cas! You both tried to save him from this and Castiel's entire "life" because life because of the downstream. What a fuck you."

I'm still having character-related responses first, but I pay attention less and less to the actors (though I did have a weird dream last night that involved the plot of a(n obviously unmade) JP movie and even a young Misha album cover--Amy you were there, and boy was there a lot to talk about.)

Because of a 20% discount and insanity, I ordered this [link] months ago.

DO NOT BUY. It's crap. No doors work, which is merely disappointing, but one of the windshield wipers and both of the wing mirrors have fallen off, and it's not like I *play* with it (that is reserved for the 1:64 version.

Which is marvellous for fiddling with (zoom zoom!), and the bonnet opens.

I was just reading comments on a board (I know, I know) and came across the acronym ESG being used repeatedly in an accusatory fashion.

I love Sam but you ESG can’t stand it if he’s not worshiped at all times!

Can anyone translate for me?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

ESG = Evil Sam Girl

When I've seen it (anon meme), it's been E for Extreme.

Similar for EDG and ECG.

Thanks, Anne and ita. I could tell it wasn't anything complimentary, but couldn't parse out the letters. It was one of those articles with an interview containing spoilers for the upcoming season, and my God did that lead to catfights and hair pulling. Based on a few lines in the interview these people dove into every time the guys hurt one another in the past and how they are absolutely probably about to do so again in the new season. Some of was interesting to read but most of it was just tiresomely repetitive.
