Ah. It was a little silly. I'm not sure the logic works anyway (shocker) -- after the blood Sam gave him in the church, he was locked up in the dungeon (or whatever) for long enough to have kicked the habit (or so it seemed). Then ... I don't even remember who gave him another hit? I know Dean did at one point, but they didn't track it very well, so it all seemed kin d of out of left field.

I didn't mind it too much when he was demanding blood as payment from Dean and Kevin, he had to demand something after all, but shacking up with random demon and watching Casablanca all weepy while his kingdom slips away - that's not a Crowley I'm interested in watching. If they were trying to draw parallels with Cas learning to deal with being human that was not very effective.

Poor lonely thread.

Tonight is Misha's directorial debut! Whoo.

Dean is actually sort of pouty tonight.

I *knew* Sam was going to take that kid down. It was still satisfying, though.

I love the woman telling Sam the story of 1958 -- she's probably been in almost every show I've ever watched at least once.

Dean's connection to the blade as an addiction metaphor really doesn't work for me. What I would love is for him to realize how Sam must have felt all these years with demon blood in his veins, and as Lucifer's chosen one, and drinking the demon blood for the power.

Abaddon's story just got a little more interesting for me. Although what really interests me is Josie, and I imagine she's long gone, so.

Agreed, Amy, that actress is great and in everything. And that Josie seems interesting, but is probably long gone.

I do not like the way Dean's story is playing out. Him saying "I'm nothing like Cain" seemed very un-Dean-like to me.

Loved Sam's pre-recorded exorcism (or whatever that was). Bad ass.

Sam is all about technology!

There was so much good Sam in this episode.

There was. That he recognized what soullessness looks like was kind of awesome. Poor noodle.

I know! And even as savage as he could be without one, he wasn't attacking waitresses and stuff.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to think on that.
