I was thinking that Zeke keeps plugging into Sam's soul, and draining Sam's energy. Remember when Castiel needed to touch Bobby's soul to heal? Bobby was pretty spent afterwards. I'm probably stating the obvious, but if Sam's liver is that damaged still and Vesta asked him "How are you even alive?", I'm guessing that Zeke may only be healing himself.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Marcia, that sounds highly plausible, especially when you back it with evidence like that. Zeke scored himself a nicely powerful vessel, one guarenteed not to explode since he was destined to house Lucifer.
So the stick that Jody stabbed Vesta with was the same stick with the virgin blood? I wasn't paying attention (rewatch needed) and somehow assumed it was a new weapon, hence my confusion.
I agree, Julie. What better vessel to take refuge in than Sam's (or even Dean's for that matter)? Both were engineered by Heaven to house archangels. Quite a coup.
I'm also betting Zeke goes rogue, shuts down Sam and takes off.
Oh fuck no, this one is by Ross-Lemming & Buckner. I'm out, I don't want to see how badly they write Dean & Cas scenes.
None of my Glee Clubs were ever that exciting.
Well Matt, so far there hasn't been any bestiality, or any implications thereof, so at least that's a point in this episode's favor.
Isn't Gadriel more of a King Arthur kind of name than an angelic kind of name?
Also, put me down on the Do.Not.Like column for this current plot twist, at least at this point.
Edit: Okay, since Castiel just learned the truth, I'm hoping said plot twist won't drag on too long.
I've found that reading reactions before watching has saved me in terms of ire, so I'll be sitting this one out, looks like.
I don't know if it's my mood, or a leftover aftertaste from last week, but that was awful.
Who the hell is Gadriel? That's not an angel I've ever heard of.
And why is Metatron just hanging out on earth when (almost) every angel is out to kill him?
All season I was handwaving the fact that the angels still have powers, but now I'm just pissed off. When Anna fell, she was reborn as an infant. These angels fell and we saw their wings burning up, but they still have all their power? And they conveniently loopholed the vessel's consent, so all these thousands (millions?) of angels found willing hosts? None of it makes sense.
And they fucking killed Kevin Tran.
And they fucking killed Kevin Tran.
Still reeling from that one.
And they fucking killed Kevin Tran.
I suspected that was going to happen based on last week's preview.
