Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

So this spin-off...(that's not a spoiler, is it?) -- what do you think it will be? I've read about the location, but I wonder if Charlie will get her own show/be part of an emsemble cast.

DH thinks, based on a tweet Christian Kane made that after Leverage ended, SPN was trying to get a role for him, that CK will be on the spin-off. Which, hey, I would be DOWN with that.

I personally would watch Charlie fight monsters, and be a cute bad-ass lesbian geek girl and Christian Kane be...Christian Kane.

I am still giving the idea of a spin-off a serious side-eye, though...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Omg. Here's what I want. Charlie takes over Ghostfacers and brings in CK as muscle.

Because books.

I'm not sure I want a Charlie show, and I definitely don't want a Christian Kane show, much as I love him. He's too ... something for Supernatural, even if it's not really Supernatural.

I think they said they were introducing completely new characters, so I'm not sure we've met the pilot people yet.

Thus the side-eye. I don't want "Some Totally Random Other People Fight Monsters Like The Winchesters, Except They're Not Brothers."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Most of the people that would be happy to have Charlie take over now would have been happy to have her take over barely into her second episode. Remember--Gabe was only here for four. I'd have given Rufus or Jody or Missouri or Sarah...maybe it's the meds now...but one of the things I like about the show is that they can get me...Pamela! Sexually assaulting her way through haunted houses of Chicago!

Just saying.

I think that they're ignoring some very tasty morsels, but that speaks to their ability to create people that linger.

I actually wrote up a Bobby+Rufus on IO9, lemme see if...yeah someone found it for me... [link] That would be great. Fuck, Gabriel could visit and I wouldn't be pissed.

My sister is visiting this weekend. Operation: SPN Brainwash to commence! MWAHAHAHAHA! I am really looking forward to it!

I never wanted to Charlie to take over, but I'd love to see her in her own series, with occasional guest Winchester guest appearances (not enough of those to interfere with main Show -like once or twice per season at most. Maybe less often than that).

By take over, I mean take over her own show. It didn't take all that long for people to love her, which is why I don't grump at the idea of introducing new characters because I won't warm to them--it's only because that means so many people we already love aren't getting a shot.

Oooh, maychorian may be continuing the "Coming Down On A Sunny Day" story. She's got two scenes up, and seems to be planning on bigbang-styling the rest of it.

Does anyone know anything about the writer the0voice0from0above? I decided to hunt down a fic they'd written that I hadn't seen anything of recently, and all their stuff is gone from AO3. I thought it was just the difficulty of the title, AΩ, but I found a cached page that's all dead links.

Now I'm sad! It's been a bad week, it continues to be a bad week, and you know when a small thing takes on disproportionate importance?

Case. In. Point.
