one of the most heartbreaking moments in this entire series was when demon!Bobby told Sam to lose his number. The look on Sam's face just breaks me every time.
And that little nod. Oh! my heart.

And you know the little boy in Sam had already burst into tears. It kills me.
But he took it back! That's just like it didn't happen, right? No lingering damage? NEVER MEANT IT.
JOHN WAS NOT AN ASSHOLE IN the djinn episode whose title I still don't get right (bad enough for an episode title, but what music needs a name like that???).
Sorry. I have a "demonising" thing chapping my ass right now. I swear it's easier to find a nice Meg than a nice Adam or Lisa. I'm thinking of making a sock puppet AO3 ID with an explanatory name to give kudos to people who don't trash sympathetic characters (but Gabriel is Sam's one true love, even though Jess is in this 'verse!). I wish there was a "cast aspersion" button or something.
How was John an asshole in WIAWSNB? He was dead, for christ's sake.
I avoid Lisa stories because so many authors make her a bitch (which she WASN'T). And I don't think I've read an Adam story at all. I should finish my Lisa POV story (in which she is awesome) and publish it EVERYWHERE.

My point is just that this is the only John & Mary lived "canon" we have, and the only douche was Dean, not John. Yet? John is the villain in way more than half of the fanfic where they're still both alive.
Why? Why is he an abusive alcoholic neglectful father in this scenario? Why does the passage of time and events never affect Mary negatively in any way?
Because ... Mary is the one female character everyone agreed to idolize?
Hey, they start shooting tomorrow.
Ellen's fairly perfect too. I don't like when "agreements" are made without canon reason or diversity.
I have found a story which is too clever for me by (at least) half: [link]
It's a Regency D/C and Charlie/Jo with arranged marriages to hide the homosexuality. But there's a lot of Shakespeare in it, and Gabriel goes off under the guise of one of his characters and I'm not sure what his problem is.
Anyone not on pain meds who's read that can help?
eta: unless it's just more of the same problem he's complaining of earlier?
CUTIEHEAD. He actually looks blonde there, too! Paging Plei!
