They put Grimm on at 10 p.m. on Tuesdays the last few weeks, after Smash got cancelled. I had it on last night, although I had no idea what was going on.

I heard about Supernatural moving the same day as the finale, I thought. And doesn't think move them back to their original time slot? Or were they Tuesdays at 8 p.m.?

I don't understand why people need to go here, about the "What show have you been watching?" line:

Now, it could have been an ad libbed scene Jensen and/or Misha threw in there for comedic enjoyment. If it’s not, then put together with Dean’s differing reactions to Cas’ vs. Sam’s predicaments and his statement to Sam that he always comes first, this little sentence just drives the point home. Moreover, it’s said by Dean to Cas and well, to me, that means it was directed at a certain audience. Together it all reads, make no mistake, this show is about two brothers and their devotion to one another (throw in a comedic ‘Destiel parallel’).

Yes, Dean is hysterical at the thought of Sam dying, and will do anything to stop it, repeatedly. Yes, he responds to the premise of Cas leaving forever with nothing more than a resigned nod. So? At what point did anyone thing those reactions would be reversed? Dean has done his share of pleading to Cas, but it's never going to be like razing the earth to keep his brother alive. Duh. Show.

But the poster's suggestion that this is meta telling Destiel shippers to stick it up their own asses is both reaching and petty. How does that line even relate to him leaving except in your punitive little mind? Destiel is already never going to happen. That's fine. But now there's some sort of fan competition to see who's getting rebuffed the hardest between the lines?

Grow up and enjoy a narrative, for god's sake.

What I love is that certain fan types (as above) really believe everything in a script is some kind of coded, yet direct, message right to them.

Yeah, probably not, guys.

Also, Dean was talking about drinking on the job. Stick to the subject at hand, for god's sake.

Now, if Dean had taken a break from eating Sam out (originally I typed "seating"--I can't even type Wincest) to say that, I can see where you might want to gloat a bit. Otherwise? There is no fictional ship high ground, peeps. We're all never gonna get (never get it...thank you, En Vogue).

Vulture magazine reported on the sad state of 2012-2013 television. Most shows dropped a decent percentage of their Nielsen numbers.

But not Show! In season fucking gr8, we gained 22%, which is the biggest gain of any network show. Of course, a percentage of a small number is a small number, but still! It's a positive number, unlike most. I do want to give Sera a hug, because no doubt people are calling this proof she sucks--maybe it is proof! But I liked it, and I will still be her BFF.

This is a really interesting take on S8.

I've always seen "Supernatural" as a story about Sam, told from Dean's perspective. The audience lives in Dean's head, we feel his connections with secondary characters and understand his pain and frustration. Sam, on the other hand, keeps secrets from the audience, reveals himself only in fits and starts. The audience learns about Sam only as Dean does.

Sam has always been doomed, marked, tarnished. And Dean has always been the guy who pulls Sam out of fires. Sam's story is about evil. Dean's story is about Sam.

Dean has kept secrets from the audience too--I don't know if that's an important thing about Sam. But SPN being a story about Sam as told by Dean? I've definitely argued that point. That's why it can't work with just one of them. Dean needs something to react to (Sam's action) and the audience needs a framework for reacting to Sam (Dean's personality).

And it's always why Bobby/Ruby/Castiel will always be a third wheel to the core story. That in no way means they are unwelcome additions to the narrative, but it does mean they are only guests to the party. They're neither throwing it nor is it in their honour.

ita, is it you who has an amazingly complete recall of every Jensen picture ever published? Someone over on LJ has linked to a site saying "one of the sites I check out from time to time- the owner has gone to the trouble of collecting all the pics together she had and uploading them."
