Thank you, ita ! and Beverly. I knew I'd seen him before but couldn't place him.
I would totally watch the spinoff series with Aaron and the Golem.
Yes, please!

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

I was just going to supernaturalwiki to doublecheck something¹ and this [link] is on their front page. It's hella cute.
I do wonder who takes these pictures. Did Adam hand someone his phone and say "We're going to be adorable in 5...4...3...2...cute!" or do they have a persuasive set photographer, or...or I don't' even know what the middle is.
I am halfway through my sketch a day project! I have four or so pictures as backup for bad days (today might be one so far...) and I posted an extra on Thursday for no particular reason, but I do feel good about the..."dedication" I need to show in banging out pictures of the same two guys for thirty days in a row. I have always been very "I could never do this for a living. Who the hell can output on a schedule? I have to wait to be hit by inspiration."
Der. Also, practice.
¹: My eye was caught by this [link] and thinking "Will Cas do that this season?" and then wondering--wait--it's not exactly possession, but did her shove aside Leviathan at all for a sec? And realised, I don't actually remember.
Cas seemed to shrug off the Leviathans' control intermittently while he still had the power of all those souls from Purgatory to draw on, but after they were returned I think he went under pretty quickly, with just a brief moment to warn Dean.
Yeah, I don't think it's as big a deal as any of those family members shoving aside possession, which has been shown to be pretty inviolable to everyone else. And it remains to be seen how much control Naomi can exert and at how low a level. Can she speak directly through him, or can she just incept him, and he's paraphrasing her?
I think it's great that loving Dean s enough for you to shift something that huge--hasn't the only other way we've seen demons getting shoved out the door when Jesse's mum chked down all that salt--and how did she get enough control to grab the salt--I don't remember--were they being easy on her because she was pregnant or something?
I don't like to remember that episode, but I think she said the birth process weakened the demon's hold enough for her to grab the salt.
I'd say Sam breaking Lucifer's control is the high water mark for overcoming possession from within, but my impression from the episode was that divine help on the sly may have had something to do with it. John definitely did it all on his own, which does not surprise me overly for a situation in which bull-headedness is an advantage.

I had not considered that. When they got the hands off message from Joshua I got the impression that no matter what Big Daddy was rooting for, his only moves on the game board were resurrections, and those were done for that fight (resurrecting Cas after the the fight was decided was putting a piece back on the board for the next game, and then walking away from the board). The story weakens for me if there was divine intervention in what felt for me to be the zenith of the Winchester relationship--when the forces felt they had to match the Winchesters to the Campbell, they failed to bargain on the profoundest of bonds that they would develop between each other, and it was, as Chuck said, choosing family (Dean coming back, Sam inside remembering) that made the difference in the clutch.
Just saw on SpoilerTV, Supernatural is renewed for Season 9. Color me happy!
Seriously? Yay!
And Arrow! And TVD.
