Wow, she's fantastic. I had actually seen the "wing-friendly baby clothes" one before, too.
She doesn't always get Dean exactly, although she gets him a lot more often than most people. What is it about Jensen's face that makes him so hard to draw?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Jensen's face is the epitome of regularity. Fucking bastard. It's a very harmonious arrangement, but you can't exactly drop in signature hair or eyes or nose like Sam or Cas as code for his face.
I'd actually tumblred the wings shirt picture a long time ago, and for some reason people are reblogging it today, which brought her back to my attention, so I went back to her gallery, and I realised I'd also tagged one of her Community pictures: [link] It's a poor picture of Jeff, but a marvellous representation (rather than portrait) of Shirley. And stuff like that background and the colour of the lines are the simple sorts of flourishes that are completely beyond me.
But there has to be something! Even if it's just the exact proportions and the slight bump to the nose!
She who cannot draw a thing says.
The bump in the nose is dangerous--you can't hit it too hard, unlike the ski jump of Jared's nose, or Misha's eyes. Because he still registers as ridic symmetry, and often people leave it out entirely. That leaves you with the eyelids and the lips, pretty much, but again, too much breaks it much faster--I find that most caricatures of him are basically his hair. And even then, people are so sloppy with Misha's hair, there's a colouring issue.
And exact proportions--that's like saying "why not write his exact voice?" If I could, I would. Meanwhile, I'm making do.
eta:
I'm ditching some newly acquired tumblrs. Too much stuff...I couldn't even make it through this [link] for example, or people who say that seeing Dean kiss women is like a slap in the face...uh, if we breathe and not let canon bother us so much, I think the show might get funner.
Of course, you can always cheat drawing him by hiding his face...
WIP D/C rec: The Way The War Was Won which is an cop AU mashup of a few tropes: fake marriage becomes all too real; friends become lovers; in love long before they knew it; slow burn; etc, but it's nice and patiently written--it's got BAMF!Cas and PTSD!Dean and a nice assembly of supporting cast. Sam was a bit more prominent early on, but even though his presence has receded, he's consistently awesome (despite relationship choices).
Oh, and SPAG isn't glaringly broken.
It's almost finished, the author says.
On the way into work I was trying to break up Supernatural into goals spanning the season. Like, looking at season 1 as:
I admit, I'm kinda wavering on Goal 2 started, for instance. Anyway, I was wondering if the major arcs can be broken down this way, and if there is or isn't a pattern (I suspect there isn't, due to things like Goal 2 spanning 2 season and Eve being killed early--just enough of non-finale major achievements to keep things a little different).
Is this the sign of going too far?
most crazy fandom (THEY LIKE INCEST)
Wincest is not my beautiful cake, but it is also not the thing that puts SPN in the running for most crazy fandom, either. (But it IS in the running. Dude, I read Fandom Wank. I've seen some of the stuff that's gone down.)
Teen Wolf has been a fandom for a heartbeat (I swear--my dash didn't pick it up until the gap between 1 and 2--I wonder if there are some OGs who are all "get off my lawn!") and it ratcheted up the real world harassment in a quick second. LotR defined the tinhatting crazy. Harry Potter incest fans brought it to the attention of brothers. I don't think we have a major pseudicide, or any major fic scandal, and the weirdest fan thing we have is those two women who insist they're married to Jensen and Jared (not that I have noticed anything of them recently). The actors have been pretty safe (I think Jensen's biggest scare was from a DOOL fan, actually), so they really--we indulge in some outre kinks that many other fandoms engage in, we have a few fun horror stories, but I am not quite sure what we did first or more that puts SPN that far up front, to be honest.
Fandom's not a particularly sane space. It wouldn't be signficantly saner if the SPN fans all disappeared in the twinkling of an eye.
Well, SPN fans are crazy determined, which I guess could count. We don't keep winning TV Guide covers and People's Choice awards by accident.

I'm still thinking about each season's goal. And I do think "avenging Mary's death" started with John, the night of the fire, or shortly thereafter, and the boys inherited it. That was their raison d'etre their whole childhood.
None of the seasons have only one goal, either. Not really.
Like, S3's goal would be getting Dean out of the demon deal, coupled with figuring out how many monsters they let out of hell, and S4's would be figuring out what the hell the angels want with Dean, and stopping Lilith. Etc.

Except for Misha - remember there was that thing with disgruntled fans organizing a plan to embarrass or even attack him at cons during the hiatus after Season 6. I know Creation Con in Nashville ratcheted up the security in response to that particular brand of Crazy.
