Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
They record them from behind a bush for maybe three sentences. All the other times are in plain view behind the police perimeter or from inside the house. It's not exactly ninja activity.
I don't know if I'd like the third person to be about them coming from strangers. I mean, the Bobby ep was fine--it was great--I care about his point of view of the boys. But workplace romance jibes and the convention/Ghostfacer comments are about the level of input I want from other people--seriously--the waitress better be gay, otherwise that conversation is going to read like 1/3 of this thread, and again--I'd rather hear that from people I'm familiar with.
I added Chronicle to my Netflix queue.
I hope you enjoy it. I think it was both fun and good.
There seems to be a small uptick in Dean POV Dean/Castiel again. The opportunities for finding more Cas Tastes Like entries seem to be increasing. I'm not entirely sure why there was a shift in the other direction. I mean, once I'd finished going back in time for the fics I'd already read, new fics seemed to turn up reasonably frequently from Dean's point of view and be appropriately descriptive.
Which reminds me, tropes that need to die: (AU) Dean thinking Castiel's parents must have been weird/hated him to name him that; "Wait! When did I start calling him Cas?" Dean thinks to himself; "No one's ever given me a nickname before, Dean. I like it."
Seriously, people. It's starting to rival Sam's dumb hair and the numbered bitchfaces.
Just finished a pretty thoughtful BDSM D/C : [link] it's sort of how they stumble into it, but not in a funny way at all--Dean has to come to terms with memories from Hell and why Cas wants this, etc. Kind of hard to envision some of the things she describes, but I think the mental states were the important part, and those were well-painted.

The position Cas put Dean in took some thought to imagine, yeah. Great fic, though. And the Sam aside was brilliant.
And the Sam aside was brilliant.
Yeah, there's not much room for him in a story that's
that
much about how Dean and Cas have sex, and what it means to them, but it was a great dash of humour into the story, and well-timed, considering.
Her Cas is totally not my Cas, but she sold him well, and I'm good with him in this story, espacially inasmuch as it gets us inside Dean's head, because that is kind of my Dean, and that's who I was drawing when I tied him up too.
Aha! I'm watching teeny bits of a brouhaha that I have no idea how big it really is.
Apparently some fans worked out where Jared was going to be, and showed up avec video cameras to take huggy pictures with him, and he didn't want to be touched or recorded (although it does seem he posed for a still, but he didn't want to be touched). Seems he said something about being paid for this, which does sound douchey, but everything else sounds perfectly leave-the-complete-stranger-alone, the-intimacy-you-feel-is-only-in-your-head reasonable. Sometimes you're going to get lucky, sometimes you're going to get a guy who doesn't want to do this right now. Or ever in his personal time.
(I have to say--looking up to Jared literally is pretty much inevitable. Looking up to him metaphorically--he's a funny good looking guy who's a pretty good actor, and seems really bright...he's not really paragonning about, you know?
Anyway, the person saying that Jared has no right to not want to be touched by someone much smaller than him because he's a continual sexual harasser in the workplace...maybe she doesn't have any friends to take liberties with, and she's never heard of liberties being taken with mutual boundaries allowing it...sometimes it's okay to touch someone else's junk. Third parties don't actually make that call so much when consensual adults are involved. He's not anyone's teacher or boss (well, unless he's fondling the PAs or Clif...grody).
Still--calling people a hypocrite because they give him a pass on putting his foot in Misha's groin...yeah.
God, I've been up since midnight...
I just saw something on Tumblr about Jared, Jensen, and Misha wrestling in one of their hotel rooms in Toronto, and how Jared and Misha each have a cracked rib (?!) and Jensen showed up to work with half his forehead missing and rug burns on his chin or something.
So maybe that's why Jared doesn't want to be touched? Not that he has to want to without broken ribs, of course.
I continue to think it's bizarre that these uber fans who love him also think he's legitimately a sexual harasser.
I have a feeling some of them didn't mind since they thought of it as cute sexual harrassment until he shattered their dreams by not being BFF with them when stalked.
Anyway, the person saying that Jared has no right to not want to be touched by someone much smaller than him because he's a continual sexual harasser in the workplace...
That is coming scarily, scarily close to "well, she put out for him, so she has no right to say no to me." What is wrong with these people?
Jared stopped monkey dancing for their amusement, and dared react negatively to the suggestion that he should, at any given moment.
He needs to know his place. Who does he think he is?
