Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

In theory, I totally want an apartment with French doors. But not with roommates.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

And the stained glass! Let's not forget that.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, I missed the boat on that.

No, I think you were on the right boat and I was looking around for, like, a helicopter that wasn't coming.

That was a nice place where they lived. Ah. TV apartments, always so spacious and with nifty details.

Art Crawl!!!

Who knew college apartments were so swanky?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I might have sympathy for someone who's upset about being overshadowed by a sibling in their family dynamic, but by a roommate that they chose to live with?

And that's why I thought we were supposed to think he was a pissy guy who didn't get things because he didn't nut up, and spent that energy being bitter that more assured people got things he deserved. Total SNAG material.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

As for this ep, they'd definitely seen...the movie whose name I'm completely forgetting that was really good with the found footage..

Blair Witch project?

Nope--Chronicle. Multiple cameras found footage, three students who gain mysterious new powers, and how they completely fail to handle them well and the one who gets away. The parallels are really strong. The IO9 review seems to be calling it a found footage episode of Teen Wolf, but it's really nothing like, except for werewolves. It's much more like Chronicle. And Teen Wolf isn't every werewolf story with people who are under 22. I don't know why it would be this one, and I am too tired to even go see their position.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Teen wolf doesn't have two supernatural guys fighting over a human girl, so I can think of at least one under-22-aimed franchise that has more parallels.

Because books.

I think she was simply shorthanding with "teenagers + werewolves," not the actual plot of the show.

The Chronicle parallel is SO huge. I'm not sure why she'd go TW (yeah, I could read the piece and stop wondering, I know) which they don't recap, over Chronicle which they raved about...other than click bait, which makes me sad.
