Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I like the idea of Dean and Joey being BFFs very much. The Wincest thing NSM. I was afraid that's what you all were talking about. I have a friend who very much into fic, so I had heard about that. Slash is one thing. That is a completely different thing, and while I don't want to put down anyone, I'm completely not interested in reading it. Provocateuse, now, that I can totally handle, 'cause pretty is pretty.

Also, I've been back reading the first SPN thread, and was giggling with glee over the fascinating comparisons between Angel and John, and Dean and Buffy. You all have the spiciest brains! I almost don't need chocolate. Not quite, but almost.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Plus here you get all the unique stuff, like how my husband thinks the coach of the Detroit Lions reminds him of Jensen Ackles, and how I think Dean and Joey from Friends would be BFFs.

They so totally would be.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, princess aleera's awesome! Lisa D/C is killing me. Next chapter, they get together. But there just aren't enough words left (judging by past instalment length) for how much I want to be told. Fuck her, preemptively, for shortchanging me.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Is this the Arts & Crafts 'verse? I haven't been reading.

So, any thoughts on what the opening song will be for season 8?

Mr. Soul by Buffalo Springfield

For a change of pace from all the romping and stomping: Coming Back to Me by Jefferson Airplane.

For the ultimate in stompy goodness, When The Levee Breaks by Led Zeppelin. I dunno, it makes me think of Casthulu walking into the reservoir and Dean telling Bobby's voicemail that he's gonna kill himself if he's dead and Sam is still nutso.

I am too removed from Friends, was never a big fan, but the idea of Dean being good friends with the lummox Joey in my head seems insulting. I could see him enjoying himself around the dude in a "blessed are the shallow, depth they'll never find" way, but not in a true BFF way. But my head!Joey is really, really stupid. Like, too stupid to live. Like Dean'd be friends with him to laugh at him.

Because books.

But my head!Joey is really, really stupid. Like, too stupid to live.

He really wasn't. And he had a huge heart.

Beyond the mutual "how YOU doin'?", which Dean hasn't been doing of late, I still don't see the friendship, or how, despite Joey's big heart, he's still too stupid to live, and therefore, for me, outside of being real material for Dean-friending.

I think Joey had hidden depths. They were well hidden, but I could see Dean appreciating them, and him, if they had met each other at the right time. But, maybe I'm the opposite of Juliebird and my head!Joey is smarter than written or acted. I haven't seen Friends for a very long time.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought the point of Joey was that he was precisely stupid enough not to automatically take shit for granted, and therefore effectively smarter than many of us?

Julie, yes, that verse. It's fairly painful, and after slow build, we deserve tons and tons of consummation, not one hookup chapter and a couple far future timestamps where they're having a perfectly reasonable fight. Also, sex. Sam is also only two years younger, to get him into uni at the same time, and i suspect he's fallen for Gabe.

Amanda Tapping on Show? Please let that not have been a rumour.

PLEASE.

I'll put the other details I heard in Lite.
