Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sheeit, motherfucker. I'm going to post this for the requestor before y'all would have time to answer, but I'm trying to make a list of an 11 episode S1 for someone who's ... you know ... not sure they're a true believer.

So, I spit upon them, but also I feed them the crack.

Problem is, my list is 12 episodes long. I can't work out which one to drop. I'm holding on to something for characterisation reasons at this point, because I think all the introductions and plot points are covered, but still...

Not that I even vaguely understand the concept of picking up a new series and not watching the whole thing--you either do or you don't, you know? But, good god, what if they'd just started at season 3? Because they'd heard "the first two are weak"? Oh, god, the horror. Anyway...I've made this list before. I don't know if I've deliberately kept myself to 11, but I've definitely done the abridged, and I never save it, which is dumb.

Okay. The first is done....

Season 1:
1.1 Pilot
1.2 Dead In the Water
1.3 Bloody Mary
1.5 Skin
1.9 Home
1.10 Asylum
1.11 Scarecrow
1.12 Faith
1.16 Shadow
1.20 Dead Man's Blood
1.21 Salvation
1.22 Devil's Trap

Let me work on the second.

Oh, thank dog. They're open to watching the entire seasons. Whew!

I was going to suggest "Phantom Traveler" in place of "Blood in the Water." The latter was one of the two eps that put me off the show until late Season 2.

Because books.

Why?

Because I wasn't entertained by it.

Because books.

I assumed that, but I thought maybe there was something you actively disliked. I don't usually give up on a series that early, or at least not when the cast looks like this one.

I compiled that list by whittling down the list of everything I rated between 4 and 5 stars. Phantom Traveller, despite being important in introducing us to demons, and entertaining introducing us to a phobia of Dean's, only gets three stars from me. Dead In The Water is a sentimental easy four, on the other hand.

Hmm. I'm looking at Hook Man thinking I should bump it up to 3.5. I am a sap.

Dammit, the video I had a link to of Jensen stroking Misha's face is gone. I was trying to work out what Misha was saying. Anyone know, or have a good link?

I'm totally distracted by memories of a cute teenager I used to hang out with in Michigan. He was an avid martial artist and did a lot of manual work including working on engines (he had his own classic Mustang bought as soon as he graduated high school). His hands were very calloused and rough, so when he was being tender or wanted a sensual payoff for himself, he would stroke with the backs of his fingers instead of the pads...and now that Misha and Jensen are doing this to each other all I have in my head is their characters...and of course that means glayvin...

Well, that's settled: [link]

"Umm, you know, uhh..."

Great climax, that had.

There was also a different but similar clip with the "hey, handsome" greeting wasn't there?

I don't really remember specifics since it was seven years ago, but I know I tuned in for Amy Acker and was not impressed by her or anyone else in the episode. On top of "Wendigo," it convinced me the show wasn't something I needed to watch, and I didn't catch any more until "Croatoan."
