I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm rewatching bits of Shadow, and I noted two things, when John recalls that he and Sam had "one hell of a fight" the last time they saw each other, John doesn't apologize for that, for how they left things. The other thing was that, they so got lucky castin JDM as John. If they'd had anyone else who was unable to convey the warmth and love that JDM does, we'd all be Sir-haters.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, so maybe I am reading it wrongly--TV Guide and sumi think Crowley sent Dean to Purgatory. Am I in the minority not thinking he did any sending? Where does that come from?

Because books.

Maybe the implication is that he *knew* the Dick-killing stick would send someone who used it there? Otherwise, I'm with you -- the way he explained in the episode made it sound like an unexpected side effect.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Ditto here. I do think it's weird that using a divinely inspired weapon to kill a leviathan opened a physical gate to Purgatory and sucked in people standing nearby when killing other monsters and even the defeat of Mother-of-All didn't, but I don't think Crowley would have risked tampering with the weapon if he were able to.

Note that Crowley himself has never successfully opened a gate to Purgatory or been present at the opening of one, and everything he learned about doing so was information Cas obtained from Dr. Visnyak. I just don't think he'd have the means even if he had the motive.

ita !, according to a season 8 set pic (not spoilerly), the sideburns are still there.

There are other pictures where they're back to S2 length. His hair's nice and long, though!

This is apparently the shooting right now, Jensen's episode 3. I don't know what that person was tumblring about. He might not be chewing on them, but they're clearly sideburns.

That's what I mean -- they're there, they're just not anywhere near his mouth anymore.

Tumblr seems to think that Vicki is pregnant, but they clearly can't be trusted with the smallest revelation.
