Art Crawl!!!

Anne - love your drawing.

Also: would be excellent to have JA singing out takes on the dvds.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Thank you, Amy and sumi!

Oh, yes. And now I find I want to watch that "Eye of the Tiger" outtake again. And again.

Nice work Anne!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How did you handle the scanning with originals that size? Or did you photograph them?

I was just looking over the faces of the Winchesters on my cube walls, and the worried expressions they have (the most relaxed does still have a bit of "Really? I will fuck your shit up, though") are cracking me up. A co-worker who doesn't watch TV much less Supernatural instantly identified the picture of Jensen and Jared as opposed to Sam and Dean. At which point I took that one down.

Plenty of space for the boys. Is all good.

In general, the SPN discs are disappointing. Way not enough extra features, especially ones involving the actors. It's S7, I guess? They're all been-there-done-that and know that the fangirls will scoop up anything they can get their hands on. And I'm sure it doesn't pay as much as a con would.

I scanned a couple of smaller drawings, but I used the camera for the most part (and found I liked it better, anyway). I did some cleanup/color adjustment in iPhoto and in SketchBookPro.

instantly identified the picture of Jensen and Jared as opposed to Sam and Dean.

It's amazing how easy it is - even without sartorial or setting clues - to separate the characters from the actors.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Always worth listening to again.

I have had consistent fail with trying to photograph my artwork. But I don't exactly have the most contrast going on.

It's amazing how easy it is - even without sartorial or setting clues - to separate the characters from the actors.

And I hate when people use really obvious actor refs for their character artwork. Dean does not do that bashful laughter with his hand behind his head. You know, this: [link] I mean, sell it to me. Why would he?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Always worth listening to again.

It never fails that I want to have babies with his voice when I hear that. Which is creepy, I know.

I really hope that one day we get a Jensen album, or a song. I hope Manns wears him down and gets him up front with an original song, even if it's just one. I've gushed before over the beautiful effortlessness of his voice, and it hasn't lessened any in my ears. Shoot, even a studio version of this song that I can listen to. Le sigh.

Back in the time before fire, Manns showed up at a con with cds of him and Jensen singing Crazy Love, and telling the tale of how he'd gotten Jensen drunk enough to record the song, argued for him to use his smooth tenor voice to sing one verse and Jensen insisted on using his rough baritone--but he still sang the whole verse.

The cds he didn't sell at the con he offered online, and I still have mine.

I've got all the Carlson cds Jensen sang backup on, when they were both hungry and pretty unknown. Actually, I like the music.
