I don't care if it is an orgy of death, there's still such a thing as a napkin.

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'm sure there must be a clothes-eating monster is some culture's lore, right? Like, the Alpha Clothes Moth Spirit?

One can only hope.

Purgatory looked to be one huge rocky thorn bramble filled with bitey chase-y things running around in the dark.

Plus I would imagine it would be hot. Hot enough that any kind of layers would be unpleasant in the extreme.

Final BB art has been sent to the author because otherwise I will keep second-guessing myself and tweak it into a hot mess.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I imagine you are wondering why I've called you all here today.

Today is the first business day of a new month, which means it's time for me to flip the pages of my Supernatural calendar¹

In case you don't remember, June is a picture from Like A Virgin, where they're wandering through the dragon's lair and focussing their flashlights on the hoard of gold. Aha! Found it precisely: [link]

So...July. What do you have in store for me?

Oh! There's a midyear spread with Dean standing and Sam crouching to his left. How is that supposed to work? I can't leave the calendar displaying that! There's no month there.

Right--where were we? Huh. I do not know. Dean looks like he's holding something with bullets in it. Strapped down like a bandolier. Bullets make me think Frontierland, if they're restricted to S6. Or Mommy Dearest. Sam looks a bit put out, and his hair is fluffy. ::searches Sambase for fluffy hair. Hmm. Query returns too many results. Please refine your search. Usually it's either bitchface or plaid that break it.

Excuse me while I go take a picture of July and do a reverse image search...

eta: Damn, Google. It worked out it was a picture of Sam and Dean, but didn't find that picture of them. Impressive for a failure.

¹: I do not cheat in this. I have not looked ahead. If I need to know something about the dates in October I'm not allowed to look at it there.

You are a stronger woman than I would be. Of course, I can't buy potato chips to keep in the house, because every bag is a single-serving bag.

Any way for you to link your July picture here?

Here is a crappy photo of it: [link]

Thanks! Trying to place that picture is a visual equivalent of the tip-of-the-tongue phenomenon.

It also has me thinking that there needs to be a season-by-season infographic showing key changes in the boys' hair and wardrobe.

Because books.

Dean's is easier to track by jewelry, because his hair doesn't change that much. It's a little longer in S1, but that's kind of it, I think.

The evolution of Sam's hair is a picture set on Tumblr somewhere, and it's awesome. I wonder when he completely stopped wearing hoodies?

Is this what you're thinking of, Amy? I love it.

Maybe if the wiki were tracking their clothes...

I had no idea it was so up to date on their locations and timelines. Damned nifty (Like A Virgin spans three locations, and takes place ten days after Appointment in Samarra, for instance).

It completely does not surprise me that there is a Field Guide to Sam's Hair out there already.

(Taking a deep breath and jumping straight into self-promotion... eeek.)

The Big Bang story I did the art for went up today.

The story (Films About Ghosts) is utterly fantastic, with all the twistiness, darkness, trippiness, and angst one would expect from a trip through a Winchester's subconscious. It's gen, with some excellent Dean-Cas friendship and heartbreaking (and heartwarming) appearances from Bobby, Ellen, Jo, etc.

Art is here. I still need a lot of practice with the computer portion of the process.

I'm assuming this is a sneak peek of the next DVD???

PLEASE SAY YES, MUMMY, PLEASE.

Anne, that's really cool! How big did you draw the originals?

Anne W. - Jul 02, 2012 12:59:22 pm PDT #25720 of 30002
The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Thank you, ita !! The paper I used for the originals ranged from 9 x 12 to 11 x 14 to 19 x 12.5, and I did a little bit (or in some cases a lot) of cropping once I got things onto the computer.

Oh, if that is on the DVD, I will be pleased beyond all measure.
