Am I allowed to hold you people responsible for the fact that when I hear the faint strains of "Carry On My Wayward Son" from outside, my first thought is to go see if Sam and Dean are inexplicably visiting the retired Hell's Angels who live next door? Because I do.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
THEY WOULD SO DO THAT.
Considering I *KNOW* what sort of weaponry my neighbors collect, plus the fact that the guy is out in the garage, tinkering with either the vintage hot rod or one of his many bikes? Yeah, I keep expecting the Winchester boys to show up.
It just occurred to me this morning that Supernatural has run longer than Buffy did, or will after next season. Kind of cool, considering every season there for a while felt like it could be the last.
Also, the kid who played Cole in Death Takes a Holiday was also the voice of Nemo!
If you're in the mood for some AU (Dean is a hunter, Cas isn't an angel) D/C, scaramouche just posted her Big Bang entry. It's typically delightful.

Gimme a sec...
First, read this interview with Rick Worthy. It says it's spoilery, but since it isn't even clear on whether or not he'll be back next season, I don't really think so: [link]
It totally made me sniff. He sounds amazing, and the amount of thought he put into the Alpha, and the amount of gratitude he has for the role...but the most interesting was who he had originally auditioned for. I can totally see it. It's not that we didn't get a great one, but he would also have been marvellous.
Okay, right, fic. Here: [link]
Oh man. That would have been wild, if he had gotten that part. But at the same time, I can't imagine the actor currently playing it *not* playing it, so ...
I just finished reading the interview, and wow. I LOVE HIM. I want to pat his head and give him soup and tell him we all love him!
Seriously--I can't believe it was such a big deal to him, but I'm totally glad it was. Makes me feel like less of a crazy fangirl, knowing that there are (really good) actors out there getting totally into it.
Yeah, would have been a very different approach, I'd imagine. But he's great in the role he did end up getting, and I like the kind of calm "wait and see" attitude he gives the character. I have not been thrilled overall with how the show made vampires so much less impressive after the first season, but Rick's appearances break that trend.
