I always thought actors were paid per episode, but that might just what I've always heard quoted. I don't want to give it back either. MORE WINCHESTERS.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Maybe they should get a break, and we can have an All Cas And Kevin episode.
For some reason that's suddenly really appealling to me.
Not the Cas and Meg Show? That would be pretty amusing. Or disastrous, I guess.
I wouldn't mind a Garth episode.
Except I would miss Sam and Dean. So ... no breaks. Sorry.
I have had as much Garth as I think my life needs, and if he comes back he needs to be tempered by a Winchester. Or maybe three.
But I do think I could stand 42 minutes of Kevin and Cas both being...adorable. And serious. Seriously adorable.
Garth amused me. Maybe a Garth and Cas episode! No?
I definitely hope Kevin comes back. He was completely underused, and it's a character with a lot of potential.
At least, he could be. He might not be anything more than the Protector of the Word, which is sort of over, but maybe there are more words? I'd love to see more of the "prophet" part of it put into play.
We get 23 episodes again? Cool. But ... why, I wonder?
I think the network wants as few reruns/hiatuses as possible. Last year, they asked for 24 episodes from some shows.
Speaking of The Word, was it ever explained why Dick went to such lengths to dig it up? I still can't fathom a reason why he would, unless it was a long chess move that he meant to trap the Winchesters with and bind Crowley???
Julie, I assume he wanted to know what he was up against? Or to try and keep it out of enemy hands? Or maybe there is more to Kevin, since he didn't kill him directly after he translated the Word.

Oh, that makes sense. I think I read why they're starting in October, too, to minimize the short hiatuses.
I am realising that Garth is just not cute enough to make the cut, and Kevin is bunches and bunches of cuteness.
I noticed he was cast before I had any idea what the role is, and I was wondering what they were going to do with a diminutive martial artist/stunt man. I wasn't expecting to be this totally charmed, but now I'm a fan.

I was taking this as a symptom of Dick's excruciatingly businesslike demeanor. And he was skinny.
