Werewolves and shifters don't necessarily eat people they've killed, right? So poisoning the well might not get rid of many of them.
Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
The "See you next season" line was classic.
When I was watching, I was really confused about what happened to Bobby - did he possess that girl? I know that Sam made some comment about that being a possibility but I thought only demons or angels could do that. Have we seen a vengeful spirit do that before? And another thing- doesn't the recipe for the weapon call for the bones of someone pure? Have they discussed how to get that once they get the blood?
So many questions and only one more episode!
Werewolves attack and no doubt get blood on or in them so I can see it being effective against them. For shifters, is it some kind of glamor that makes them appear to be the person or do they actually become a clone? If they become a clone, then they will have the blood in them and I'd think the effect should be the same as on vampires.
I know the ghost du jour was possessing people in "After School Special." Though that's not their usual M.O. in this series.
Still, demons come from essentially the same stock as ghosts, so it makes sense that the capabilities of the one might be echoed by the other.
The Alpha doesn't have a name, does he? Weird. He is also unreasonably hot. I mean, if you get rid of the fingernails.
Dean totally nailed it, too -- he had no idea he was being played. I love that Sam and Dean have so many reluctant allies. And "see you next season" was awesome -- I think this had to have been filmed before they got the renewal, but it works as straight text, too. I totally called Emily being evil, though.
BOBBY. I just want to hug him and tell him to sit back and enjoy the ride for now. It's so odd to see him angry -- like, really violently angry.
I love most that Sam and Dean seem so much like S1 or S2 Sam and Dean -- just brothers, partners, focused on the same goal, working together.
The writers had a lot of fun, though -- the guy whose uniform shirt read "Mott", when Sam and Dean were heading for Hoople, the "give him a little prick," and "Why Dick is so hard to beat." Silly boys.
The Alpha's appeal to Edgar, "We are the same (or the same blood, something like that), we come from you." I don't recall it being mentioned, but did the Leviathans spawn vampires? Levi-human crosses? Did they create any other form of monsters that plague humans? Or all of them?
Anyone remember any specific reference to the Leviathans creating monsters we're more familiar with?
Eve was apparently connected to the Leviathans. Possibly their progenitor just as she was for all the post-human monsters aside from demons and ghosts.
Yes, I guess that could be it. Thanks, Matt.
So...I was prepared to come post a lot of thoughts about this episode, but Amy forced me to write an actual recap, and now I'm plum tuckered out. I will never nag Annalee again. Well, okay, I want to nag her right now, because IO9 hasn't had Supernatural recaps for two weeks, and it makes me sad.
Hmmm. I'm not sure that's *exactly* how it went.
