Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dean goes to hell--Cas was waiting for it to happen, and then it was off to the races.

The "double date" is when Sam, Dean, Lucy (that's what Cas calls his big brother--he thinks Lucifer let him rescue Dean, who was praying at the time Cas showed up, because no doubt torturer Dean was all over the knees to God thing), and Cas go bowling, and Cas is totally adorable in the shoes (Lucifer doesn't understand the shoes) and the ball that's too heavy for him to throw.

Most of the time is Dean coddling Cas and Cas making toddler fists in Dean's t-shirts, and them just loving each other, although their relationship was unconsummated before the offscreen witches de-aged him (and then came after him again offscreen and got killed by Lucifer offscreen).

This is what I think of when I think idfic, because...how? What? Who?

Because books.

I have no idea what to say to that. Idfic comes close, although that's an id I don't get at all.

That's a bigass bottle of whiskey. Good stuff, too.

I saw a note on my tumblr feed saying "So. Jensen has spent his entire birthday with Jared." and now I want to unfollow that tumblr, because I can't express how irrelevant and potentially tinhatty (this is why we can't have nice things) I think that is, *but* they reblog excellent visuals, and I'm really slutty that way.

Harrumph.

Maybe I should finish the fic where Dean finishes falling in love with Cas while he's a toddler and just throw in the towel.

He WORKS with Jared. Jesus.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

And their work days are like sixteen frickin' hours long! It's not like he's calling Daneel or his family up and telling them he'd rather hang out with a buddy.

Seriously--with two sentences I feel like the time I spend defending the balance of fandom goes up in a puff of smoke.

Because only a few people have to be that intensely stupid to make us all look bad.

No one has *any* idea what the backstory is anyway, and the frontstory? Really pedantically obvious.

624 notes, and I didn't see a single comment on it before I stepped away for my mental health.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I am transfixed by this story

Man, I skipped that story soley based on the slash for Sam and Lucifer. Extra glad I did.

Finished the AU where Dean is a demon who answers Priest!Castiel's prayer. Well-written, except for how there were so many illogical plot points and inconsistencies and how quickly Demon!Dean got fluffy. What burned the most (Dean's mission was to damn Castiel's soul) was how, after a handjob (in church, during a service) and mutual BJ's, Cas asks if his soul has been damned, and the answer is "not until actual penetration". Okay, so in this 'verse homosexuality is a damnable sin, but only if you go all the way? You're not really gay unless...? Therefore, being totally gay is worthy of damning your soul to hell?

Honestly, I think letting a demon give you a handjob during church is a lot worse than having a consensual loving interlude with the person you love (yes, omg, how fast they both fall into acknowledging that they love each other!).

So much WTF?.

Trade Show was a decent AU. Terribly short, fluffy, but a breath of fresh air after months of meh.

Because books.

We need a game to play during this hiatus. Which I realize is only two weeks long now, but still.

We did the quote-off and favorite episodes. Hmmm.

Random questions:

* Which episode made you cry the hardest?

* What's one bit of canon that drives you crazy? (Example: Sam only being at Stanford for two years.)

* If there's an eighth season, where do you think it will, or should, go?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Crying the hardest would be a tie between two episodes whose titles I always garble, so let me do the research: What Is and What Should Never Be and Dark Side of the Moon (the specific wording of the first gets me, and I keep debating whose lyrics actually won out for the second).

I cried multiple times during WIAWSNB, and I startled myself with how hard I cried during the fireworks scene in DSOTM. Of course I've cried during others, but those were the hardest, and they keep working.

Bit of canon I hate the most...I'm willing to take an override on the Stanford thing because the writer admits he fucked up. And so much of Stanford is messed up--his timing with the law degree, everything. That's just a big bundle of did no research. So I let it go.

I think I'm going to have to ponder it.

As for season 8, I'm happy with S6 and 7, for all their differences. Give me a sort of big bad, but *please* give me mostly brotherly harmony and synchronisation. If they have earnt anything over the series, I think that should be it--peace and trust in each other, as they continue to drive each other crazy. Dean sitting on being shattered inside right now and Sam not having told Dean that Lucy's back and yelling--I want them to get past that sort of shit except in more minor situations.

They should keep driving each other up the wall, but I'd like them to take stuff upon themselves as a team more, and a little less as an individual.

I just realised I want a single page listing all the SPN eps, so I can always double-check proper titles, but it would be really great if it weren't just a list, but maybe had a synopsis (although I know that) and guest characters (which I also know) and a representative screenshot...

I do have the spreadsheet, but I mean something really readily to hand. Which means I will have an Evernote document of some comprehensibility or another complete by the end of the week.
