Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I knew something was up with Zachariah. He did most of his "dirty" work without Castiel to witness.
I'm just so pleased Castiel grew a pair (and a soul). Woo hooooo!
Believe me, Bev, I'd love to have you join us in our old, electricity-challenged office building and chat up Show!
And Zachariah said, "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia". He owes me a dollar. Bastard.
Anne, what's the shoutout to Cindy? I'm missing something. Unless it's just the nurse named ... was it Cindy?
Not just Cindy, but Cindy's full name.
Yay! I'll bring lunch. We'll tawk.
Awesome! And yes, I wish I had been there to see your face at that line.
So, okay, let me talk this through. Dean was incommunicado to keep him from stopping Sam from killing Lilith (how happy will the JJs be next season when they don't have to lisp lines that contain the name Lilith?), so that the final seal *would* be broken, and unleash Armageddon, right? So the angels can duke it out with the demons for possession of earth, presumably so they can turn it into Angels-only paradisical spa and country club? And they were going to call Dean into play for--what? An angelic adversary for a Lucifer-ridden Sam? Was that the plan, I wonder?

They were keeping him on ice for *this* part of it, the killing Lilith part, but then Zachariah said he would end the *whole* shebang somehow, meaning either kill Sam or Lucifer or both, I assume.
Making Dean ... the messiah?
This wouldn't be the first time that angels are portrayed as eager to have the Final Battle. Usually, the forces of Good welcome it, because they are convinced that they will win. But part of that conviction means that you need someone to start it (Sam) and someone to end it (Dean).
That was the impression I got, Beverly. The angels were going to let the earth go through a master cleanse, and then deploy Dean to get rid of Lucifer at the right time.
The prophecy is shot to hell -- er, so to speak. The outcome as prophesied by Chuck was changed thanks to Castiel. Zachariah is Dean's Azazel, and that sumbitch ain't dead.
