either juvenile or irrelevant, depending on whether you remembered it from Show.
You're missing the opinion that I have, that it's just one more canon name, of which they have plenty. 90% of the names are canon, and there's a decided cant towards the idea of pen names. It seems perfectly cromulent to me, FWIW.
It's juvenile in canon, and I have to live with that, but within the fic, with the limited inclusion of canon elements, and the tone of the fic, to defend it's inclusion as canon is whack, to me. I smirked at Ash's last name, but . . . this entire conversation is ridiculous.
Conclusion: want more regency fic NOW!
It's juvenile in canon, and I have to live with that
But ... you get that the show itself uses a lot of juvenile humor, right? This doesn't seem like a surprise to me.
to defend it's inclusion as canon is whack, to me
Huh? Seriously? You just called my defense whack?
I get that a fic including pieces of canon you don't like means it's not to your taste (seriously, could Dean waggle his eyebrows about sex a little less?), but indefensible? Huh? It's
the show.
Like it or leave, it's the show.
this entire conversation is ridiculous
Oh, okay then. Seriously, you could have just bowed out, without getting insulting.
Amy, Show uses a lot of juvenile humour, but in the intance of this particular fic, this was a standalone instance, I thought.
ita, as for being insulting, I apologize. I just realized mid-sentence that we were discussing the use of the name I.P. Freeley, and it seemed silly that we (I) were up in arms about it. It wasn't an attack on you. More on my own hangup on something so inconsequential. In any case, I absolutely bow out.
Skipping like mad because I just watched Death's Door. OMG, that was the best SPN episode in ages! I fully expected it to hurt, which is why I waited so long to watch, but... damn.
Wee!Bobby broke my heart.
Also, "Idjits." I sobbed.
And when the boys faded away.
How sad is it that I can get thrown
completely
out of an otherwise sweet and delightful fic by having Sam--Sam of all people--referring to Stanford as an Ivy League university.
It was a bit like finding a hair or pieces of eggshell in a yummy cupcake.
Oh dear. I know some of the West Coast school are referred to as Ivy League West or something, but still. No.
