I was really tempted by the GISHWHES book, but I just don't have that kind of money to spend on that kind of thing.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
That is why I didn't order it earlier. Decided to spend some Xmas cash on it. The rest is going to a massage (which I only have to wait until for until Sunday).
I just saw the promo again, and it's still the same scant seconds, but this time I'm really confused. There's a vampire, and there are people with the old school Prohibition-style machine guns. I guess maybe it's her past? I'm also not getting a feeling that Dean and Sam are in the same story either.
I wasn't looking at the screen at the time, but for some reason the rock song they choose alerted me that SPN was happening.
It looks like we should definitely know after this episode if Dean is afraid of heights, and so far I'm voting *no*. I hate when people write him that way. Plz to play out this way.
Where did anyone ever get the idea he is? I don't think I've ever seen that before.
I haven't either.
They're probably assuming his fear of flying is linked to a fear of heights (despite us having seen him do things like set up a sniper rifle on a rooftop without apparent worry).
I've seen it a lot. It seems to be the extrapolation Matt explains, but that makes absolutely no sense at all. They are separate phobias, and it's perfectly easy to have one and not another. It's one of my most disliked fan canons, because it does actually play out in ways I think are unDeanish. Assuming he dislikes Sam's hair is pretty harmless and doesn't change much.
That's so odd! I don't think I've ever seen that in fic.
I did a quick google and found a fic I'd never heard of:
"Yeah I guess that didn't help my fear of heights much." He chuckled trying to brighten the mood.
I have seen it at least as many times as I've seen people mention canonical phobias of his. Not sure why. Some sort of crowd-sourced characterisation, which I rarely find adds to the story or the character. Of course, it could be done well, but no one really is making anything of it.
