I was wondering about Chuck and the reaper, too -- it wasn't the same actor, right? I couldn't really tell, and I haven't looked anything up yet. But if you told me they were the same person, I'd believe you.
OH! And I loved Dean when he said to Dick, "You're either laughing because you're scared, or you're laughing because you're stupid." Well, I mean, I really loved that whole scene and thought Jensen totally brought it with Dean's utter conviction that he was going to end Dick. No bravado, just raw determination. Be afraid, Dick. Be very afraid.
I didn't think the reaper looked like Chuck at all, but he did look incredibly familiar.

When the reaper first appeared, I'll admit to having a flash of Chuck. But it was only a momentary flash.
When Sam and Dean died and went to heaven, there was no reaper. But they did have to keep looking for the road to move through heaven. Like Bobby had to keep looking for a door. Yes, he wasn't in heaven but I like the parallel journeys they took.

Not being a Christian, I'll try my best. I see correlations in the idea of God in human form (as Bobby) as with the life of Jesus.
I don't profess to be a biblical scholar, they're just things I've been thinking about Bobby.
I'm rather intrigued by the idea that perhaps Bobby was an unknowing vessel for God.
I doubt it will ever be canon, but it would make on hell of a fic.
I have actually read that fic, but damned if I can remember who wrote it.
edit: - okay, I found it; it's just a short piece by taelynhawker, but it's wincest so I know it's not something most people here would be interested in.

I think the idea of Bobby as God is sort of cool, but I don't really buy it. Very interesting, though. And definitely excellent fic material.

I was thinking about this last night (don't mock) -- when's the last time Dean got laid? Lisa? Dean needs to get some, seriously.
Maybe he'd lay off the hootch a little if he...(god, I'm gonna be crude and say it, because I can't not)...got some cootch.
I had to do a double take because I thought Chuck (God) was playing the reaper. In my mind, I was already making excuses that they wanted someone to reap Bobby with whom Bobby would be familiar. Luckily that all happened in about 10 seconds and I was back to, "oh, he just looks like Chuck".
Henri Lubatti played the Reaper and he has been in many, many things. (I think he may have had a role in a recent Grimm.)
