The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

For John not to have reached Corporal if he did a full stint, he would have had to fuck up pretty badly. But yeah, the dates only work with a fair amount of hand-waving.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thank you, Anne, resident Marine expert. So what does Corporal entail in terms of leadership and responsibility.

And thank you, Amy, outsourced wetware.

Because books.

I feel I should have some sort of badge for that.

I'll have to ask my dad and/or brother about a corporal's duties/leadership, although as Navy guys they might not know specifically.

Leadership-wise I think a corporal might have led a patrol group or work group of about four or so. So, some leadership on a very small, very immediate scale.

Art Crawl!!!

Not unlike leading your two boys on hunts!

Completely unlike that, because one is twisted borderline abuse, and the other is...childrearing!

Badum-cha! I'll be here all day--try the veal, and tip your waitress.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I was absolutely undone this morning when my brother and mother made me watch Florence + the Nightingales on youtube.

First off, her new look is art deco, and mum kept raving about a video where she was dressed as the Chrysler building. Then I see her new album has a track called Strangeness and Charm. Then they make me watch a vid for her Shake it Off song, and now I am utterly convinced that she is a Supernatural fan. My god, if someone doesn't make a vid to Shake it Off for Sam, Dean, and Cas, I will go nutty. It's too much. Too much Dean & Cas, too much Cas, too much Sam, too much Dean. Oh, oh, vid goodness to be had!!!! She is divine.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore
