I've been crying in my porridge because my biggest woe since Sunday, when my power came back on, was that my cable line was down and I couldn't watch TV. My colleagues and friends have no power, sump pumps that don't work, and I'm panicking that the cable companies phones are down and I can't let them know about my personal emergency.
NOA I HAZ TEH INTERNETZ!!!! And, more importantly, cable.
Lemme tell you, reading these big bang fics on my phone is almost impossible in some cases, darned formatting.
Nan's In the Weeds was the most decipherable of her long fics. I just can't get behind her Dean that fucks things up buy saying the wrong thing. I get that Dean doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve. But I can't buy him being the type of guy that when push comes to shouting, that he says shit he doesn't mean. I know he says shit he doesn't mean when the damage has been done and he's covering up his own hurt, but not someone who ruins a good thing repeatedly by getting hot headed. I still remember being uber impressed by his handling of soulless Sam in the faerie ep where he laid down the law with confidence and articulateness, and it was completely unchartered territory.
Eh, the sex was burning hot, and the pathos wasn't byzantine like it usually is for her. And I guess we don't have a baseline on how Dean would react when his heart is on the line, romantically speaking.
Hitman AU was kinda badly written, but I loved the concept, even if I thought Cas and Dean's roles should have been reversed. Also, I was severely disappointed in the whump. Gunshot wounds to the body, even missing vital organs, substantial bloodless, need more than changing the bandages once a day.
More on topic: I repeat "stupid promo". The writers are aware that these things exist, right? When they're staging the final act?
