[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

ooh, Sam's gonna find out!!!!
Oooops.
Worst. Feds. Ever.
Also, bad actors, too.
That's the second time Dean's had to kill off a duplicate of himself. That has to be beyond weird.
Boys, boys, boys.
How many times have we been here before?
stupid promo.
You know, I liked the episode for its parts, but it was kind of familiar... doubles, caught in a prison with baddies coming for them, enlisting the help of the prison personnel to vanquish the baddies, then additional baddies showing up to vanquish the remaining prison personnel, but not before the law enforcement dude who saw the light made the rest of the world believe the Winchesters were dead. All... again. And Sam goes on walkabout. Again.
Taken out of context, there was a lot I enjoyed about the ep, but I am kind of stunned by what a repeat that was. Or was that supposed to be some kind of spooky echo of the pattern we were seeing with the leviathans rehashing the boys' adventures in order? If so, it did not work so well for me. Just reminded me how much I wish Henrickson hadn't had to go.
I missed the promo.
However, Dean singing along to Air Supply was just... there are no words. Because you know you do it, to, and just like Dean, even if you try not to, you just can't not. That whole scene was pure love.
Dean and Sam inhabited by the leviathans, and their descriptions of and distaste for them, hilarious. The phone video of the boys as psycho killers, awful and cool to see the actors play it with such leviathan nonchalance and eviltude.
Crowley and Big Boss in the limo was great, too. Hey, Crowley! Gonna go work with the boys again? You know you want to, no matter how much you protest.
And Bobby and the sheriff? Yay! They are my SPN OTP.
Bobby and Jody were great. I kinda liked smarmy Leviaboss putting Crowley in his place, and I kinda hated Crowley being dissed. Also, MS is looking good. Mark musta made a deal with the devil, because he looks years younger.
Evil boys were awesome.
Beyond the wonky weak feds (they weren't leviathans the whole time, were they?) the only false note that has stayed with me was Sam's flouncing at the end. It was played too petulantly on Sam's part, and Dean was far too calm for a dude supposedly on the brink (and it didn't seem like a front). I think Sam had valid reasons to want a break, but after all the shit they've been through, put each other through, I just feel that Sam should have a more . . . not mature . . . seasoned? reaction to needing to step away from Dean. Not flouncing, I guess I was expecting, yeah, a more mature, "You wanted to be my stone number one, but I can't do that if you lie to me like this, if your actions doubt my ability to make sound judgments, don't talk to me, I'll let you know when you can" or something. I think the writers were too immersed in Season 1 memory lane, and absorbed too much of early!Sam.
I'm glad they discovered the Borax weakness - makes it seem less hopeless. I still don't see why they have not followed up on the lead that spells can paralyze the Leviathans temporarily. Why not at least look into how to cast those? Send a neutral third party to contact not-Spike for the details of that spell? Appeal to solidarity against a people-eating monster, and if that fails pay his price. Also, that was cast pretty spur of the moment. Wonder if there might not be stronger versions that would last years or decades...
Also, there will totally be a Crowley/boys team-up against the Leviathans. If the human race gets eaten, there goes Crowley's future soul supply. And he actually did help the boys against Lucifer, though he grabbed Bobby's soul as a side deal. If there are not bottomless pits on earth, and the Leviathans really are unkillable (I'm betting yes) then make them helpless and let Crowley set up a nice un-escapable prison in hell. A deep pit with a deep lake of borax at the bottom. Filled with animated blades that swim through the lake and eternally remove heads that reattach.
