I was enjoying the hell out of it, the whump and the mystery, and then it just ends.
That is the worst feeling--when a fic doesn't deliver on the promise set up in the beginning like that and just stops rather than delivering a real ending. I generally suspect the author as having rushed to wrap things for some sort of posting deadline.
Anne, this was worse! I swear, the summary and the fic didn't match up beyond "WWI". And it had such an awesome Band of Brothers vibe.
