"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Oh my goodness. NotSoWee!Sam. Part way through this episode, I thought it was going to be a dud. But by the ending I was so captivated by the Sam back story and how much internal fortitude that boy had/has. Oh Sam! If only we had known you had fallen in love with a monster as a young boy. How did that mess with his head when he was hunting after that. I need to hug him.

Another, "you shouldn't be around my dad when he's been drinking" bomb. Sigh.

Oh Dean! You know Sam can't forgive you for that, right? You really are your worst enemy.

Only one question. "cake, it's close enough". Sammy, you know Dean needs his pie. Why are you being such a brother?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

In case anyone missed it or just isn't familiar, Lemmy Kilmister - the name on the credit card Sam used - is in Motorhead.

Loved seeing Colin again. He is still doing a great wee!Sam.

As for the cake - K-Bug just recently bought and ate some cake that looked exactly the same. Same packaging, same icing color. But Dean deserves pie. Though at this point, if Sam ever actually brought him pie, I'd worry that something major was wrong. I mean, wronger than all the current wrong.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

And Dean was Lars Ulrich.

Amy, you must use Sam saying "hello, Amy" for a ringtone or startup sound or something.

And Sam was being unquestionably naive -- when he was tracking Amy through the woods (and how cool was that scene?) she was hunting. So as much as she may say she's done killing, well, no.

She said that "the last one" did the trick healing Jacob, that would be the one whose blood was on her hand after the scene you're talking about, so Sam knew about all her kills and chose to trust her that there wouldn't be any more. Which I think was the right decision and Dean made a mistake in killing her, but that's a debatable point.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Well, at least they didn't drag out the "is Bobby alive or not" suspense.

The web preview linked here with the cake versus pie talk mentioned Bobby, so I was already spoiled-ish for that one. But I am glad the show dealt with it quickly.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

But I am glad the show dealt with it quickly

Really quickly -- there was no mention of precisely HOW he managed to avoid going boom!, or how they reunited. (Well, obviously Bobby got them out of the hospital, but how did they learn he was alive? All the juicy emotional stuff?) But there's only so much stuff that can be jammed into one episode, I guess, and they needed to leave room for the molten cheese at the end, so that part of the exposition was left out.

Trust my rage

Not only is this an adorable tweet/photo [link] but i realized just now Jared's profile pic is Jensen.

(yes, I am posting about SPN at 3am. Upside to insomnia, I guess.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

So, what Matt, you're thinking that Bobby is a Leviathan now? Because if he was, he wouldn't have snuck Sam out of the hospital, he'd've killed him right then.

Oh, I don't think he really is. Show would have dropped a hint or two if he were a monster wearing a Bobby suit now. Just playing Devil's advocate.

I think Dean was right to kill Amy. While she'd finished killing for now, I have no doubt that innocent people would have died the next time her gradeschool-age kid got a case of the sniffles. It would have been kinder to kill the kid too (presumably he's now going to starve, as it seems unlikely Amy taught him to hunt), but I can see Dean not being able to bring himself to.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I was waiting for Dean to gank the kid too, and cringing in horror. And then he didn't and it felt wrong, like a job half done. I think Amy was more of a danger than, say, Meredith, in that eventually she wouldn't be able to control herself somewhere down the line because she had a kid that needed her to kill for him. The fact that she was a mother, with a mother's instinct to save her kid no matter the cost to others, was a recipe for badness.

I think Sam was wrong for believing Amy, seeing as he caught her midhunt. She was going after a living person, not a corpse in the morgue. See, bashing Sam's head led to memory loss!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

how did they learn he was alive?

We saw Dean learn Bobby was alive.
