Because books.

Ooh, I was at the Beta then, Theresa. I was ... god, I hate to say it, because it's such a dumb name, but I impulse registered ... seniorslayer.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Wow, that just occurred to me right now. Hello.

Yep. I feel like I'm doing that first to arrive at the party chatter.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

hello...I registered as lurker here. Ugh. I'm so lame. I was Austin154 over there (and as it turns out that's my name at TWOP too although I wouldn't have remembered that.) I was living in Austin and the name was auto generated by Microsoft for me.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

JenP, you and I must have registered very close to the same time, your number is only two after mine! I know that I lurked for a few months before I started posting and I posted for the first time on Christmas Day 2002.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Can tomorrow be now please?

I never registered at TWOP. My usernumber here seems to indicate I registered here prior to Sept 2002 based on what other folks are saying.

I think I'll rewatch last weeks show.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My sister is registration 2331. Now, a lot of those people didn't come back--some of them didn't even validate their registration. Still, that's a lot of people who sat down and filled out the form.

I HATE MY TITLE CARD.

I have number envy.

Ooh, Sail, you are totally helping me narrow it down! Yes, I just dived into the archived threads. I had to know. My first post ever, as best I remember, was on July 2, 2003 in a Quote Deathmatch... throwing quotes into the ring. My first actual delurking post where I identified myself was in Natter on July 10, 2003.

Cass was the first person to say, "Hi!" Aw. Hi, Cass!!

So if Sail and I registered close in time, which we did, and Sail lurked for a few months before posting on Christmas '02, that would mean, probably September of 2002. Wow, so I lurked for more like 10 months. Wow. Stalker. (ETA: I'm kidding, lurkers. It's all good.)

Er, I think it might also mean I got the dates wrong on my resume for the FDA job. I guess I should fix that.

And finally, Sam and Dean are awesome and handsome. Topical!

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I was hoping this year TWoP would assign a new recapper for Show, sad to say, No. And some of the stuff that is fueling his vitriol makes absolutely no sense He's angry that Dean took the time to explain to a recently comatose Sam what has happened during Sam's absence. Really, that deserves vitriol?

Sam's hand: whatever it is, the wounding pinged me, and it wasn't until it was pointed out here that I noted that, yeah, the bandage was still there later on, and weeks/months have passed since the initial wounding. It may be nothing. It may be a new crew member who's a bit more fastidious about paying attention to consistency and messing up on the timeline, but it's got my attention in an "IDEK" way.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I need a con where someone can stand up as the hookman and say, "Two part question, first part: Vy duz Zam steel haf un bandage?"
