Or did he have some sort of telekinesis too?
In the Season 1 episode "Nightmare" one of the other kids with the same birthday/mom dead in a fire criteria turns out to have been repeatedly beaten by his dad and uncle. He kills them, making it look like suicide. The Winchesters try to keep him from killing the stepmother, and Sam ends up locked in a closet with a huge piece of furniture in front of it. He has another vision of Dean being shot, and somehow uses telekinesis to move the furniture out of the way so he can get out and go to rescue Dean and the stepmother. But I can't recall if it's popped up anywhere else.
That's right. I don't think he ever was able to do that again. (But did he practice? Not that we know.)
In AHBL parts I and II, we learned that if the psychic kids practiced, they can learn other powers. Perhaps they needed Azazel alive as a sort of conduit for bringing out these abilities. Which would explain why Sam abilities went "dormant" until Ruby caught Sam at the most vulnerable time of his life.
Or if they were sufficiently inspired. And there was that whole thing where Sam was willing to work the mojo under Ruby's guidance (presumably without blood-sucking) to try to prevent Dean's death, but Dean refused to let him.
So whatever Sam had from the original dose could have been developed into a stronger gift. Instead he went for the steroids.
... that actually could be the proper metaphor, here. Not addiction per se, but steroid use. Except we saw the trailer, and ... well. Hmm.
There's nothing special about the Winchesters, just bloody-minded determination and the worst luck in the world.
Wrod.
I am thinking as fast as Bobby or Dean was trying to get that iron peep hole shut and bolted (???), they were worried about what Sam could/would do unless fully sealed in iron.
I would think that Sam wouldn't be happy about being reliant on demon blood, but I also think that he believes his jedi powers are his strongest weapon right now. He lost Jess, lost his father, (never really knew Mary), and went through months of hell having lost Dean via the Trickster, spent a year frantically trying and then failing to save Dean from his deal, and then spent more months unsuccessfully trying to rescue Dean.
I forget sometimes how much Sam has suffered with all my woobishipping of Dean. Poor little Sammy has had his heart ripped out and handed to him canonically so many times, it's amazing that he has any humanity left in him at all.
Did you guys think that the "soon" meant that what they showed in the promo were from the next two episodes - not just next week?
I think we saw through the end of the season finale. Good God that feels good to say instead of adding "maybe series finale unless hopefully we are renewed." Where to direct my neurotic worrying? Oh yeah, swine flu.
Didn't Dean call Sam something like Gigantor or Ginormous or something like that? Was that a shout out to TWOP? Keeping in mind now that I am so attached to SHOW that I don't read the recaps of Supernatural (unless Cindy writes them *Yay Cindy*) but it seems like I remember they called Sam something like that too. I may also be misremembering.
Morgana, the Supernatural Wiki was down for admin stuff. It should be back up now.
Also? Fun!
Sneak peek.
And 2 new promos - one is the Space promo.
Oooh.
Heyerdahl is just too good to kill off his character and not see him again.
So in more Misha Is Awesome news - he and I (and James Marsters) are birthday twins! I
must
call them both up and see if we can have some kind of joint party. I'm sure they'd be up for it. Hey, I live in Bangkok, for God's sakes! Where better to go for a Birthday Party?
My new theory? Sam's gonna go ballistic, and Bobby's gonna die.
Yeah, I've had a feeling for a couple of months that Bobby is going to die.
