Oh, how it hurt that he said he was the driver that hit them. Not just a random visitor, but someone who could say "Sorry" and "this was my fault".
Very much this, yes.
On the mind-wipe issue, I love that Sam called Dean out
immediately
on how shitty a thing it was to do. I do not think Dean would have reacted as strongly (complete with threats of physical violence) if he also didn't know it was truly awful. As for the dead boyfriend and the details needed to support the story, for my own peace of mind, I'm going to assume Cas took care of the whole nine yards in an attempt to show Dean how reasonable he was being.
Also, with the mind-wipe, I am imagining a cut scene after Lisa woke up where Dean got her and Ben's buy-in on the memory loss deal.
Cas is totally the bitter dumped guy going to the reunion so he can see the ex's reaction now that he's grown up to be a rich neurosurgeon with a vacation home in Hawaii just like he said he would.
Now that I can even speak...I thought Bobby was going to die when he fell down the stairs. The body count was mounting and I was pretty sure that was it for him. I was surprised that he got up.
Also, I was expecting Sam's knife thrust to be a fatal wound for Cas. The twist at the end was surprising.

I had a similar reaction when it took him a while to get moving after the Impala was tossed.

I asked ita if we had seen Bobby move after he went down the stairs, and was relieved when he did.
Speaking of the Impala--getting tossed wasn't a mortal blow, was it?
Looking forward to next season, if Cas is the new God/Big Bad, I beat they really wish they had the amulet back, huh?
I hope they address the amulet. A tiny part of me wants Season 7 to open with Cas saying, "psych!"

After seeing it recover from the semi, I'm not worried. If Dean can get her back to Bobby's she'll be okay.
Man, there are Cas fans flouncing or threatening to flounce in early S7, let me tell you. RUINED, he is.
I love it. I will be sad if the plotline is resolved without them making up, and it is sad that the concept of TFW doesn't really exist anymore, but I think this could be fascinating.
For a while there, I was seeing Sam/Balthazar.
And it was good, for the record. Can we shoehorn that into the timeline?
RoboSam must have done something to convince Balthazar it was worth his while to give up info on thwarting the plug n' play scenario with his missing soul...
