Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I'd wear Team Dean outside. All of my fannish shirts are for public consumption. I have way dorkier.

I actually could wear this in my town and no one would know what it meant. They would think it was my husband's drag race shirt. They might think it was some pro-life statement and spend the rest of the day trying to figure it out. I live in Conservative-ville USA.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have no problem with wearing a shirt that's immediately identifiable as SPN outside. I am a bit leery of wearing the actor's faces, though, and I just don't like most of the official merch. The only SPN shirt I have is the KAZ license plate.

I'm really happy with my tiny, hot wheels-like Impala. Speaking of which, I'm not sure where that is right now. Probably should investigate.

I wouldn't wear any actor's face. What if you are both in line at Starbucks? There is no way out of that Awkward.

Because books.

I love my license plate shirt. I also love the "Got salt?" one, and there's one with Team Free Will as tiny cartoons that's sort of too cute to deny.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a Princess Leia shirt, and a Mal Solo shirt. I would cheerfully approach Carrie Fisher or Nathan Fillion wearing the relevant shirt.

I don't think Supernatural's at that level of iconicity, though. I don't want to wear a Jensen Ackles t-shirt, and as much as I love Dean to wee little bits, I'd feel like that, I think.

At least, I haven't seen the shirt that changes my mind yet.

Well, chibis don't count...a cafe-de-labeill or nursethalia shirt would be great.

Tangentially related, I couldn't find a single fannish shirt clean this morning. Sadface. But I did find the one with all the weapons. I will wear that out instead.

Because books.

My first fannish tee was the license plate one, although I've had lit tees in the past. I had an Emily Dickinson-in-a-box one I loved to bits.

There's still a Firefly shirt I want to get, but I just never get around to it. I'm usually nervous about how they're going to fit, too.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm wearing my Firefly tee from tee fury right now. AIFG! It doesn't fit as well as my Misery Machine tee from Threadless.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I don't have any SPN shirts, but I have a Jeffster shirt that I wear outside, and a lot of my office toys are SPN oriented.
