Aw, that's sweet, Anne. Do you know off hand which roles she was in? I loved the line because I loved DS9 so... aie high five to Bobby, bless him.

Loved Dean's glee in this one, and loved his reality checks when he actually got back there into th Old West. Also loved Sam's meeting w/ Samuel Colt. His whole, "Dude. Saddle up. You're a hunter. It's what we do," and then his reaction when SC was all, "Yeah, no."

And the hats. Loved the hats.

Pity that Rustler's Rhapsody wasn't one of the westerns Dean was so gung-ho about. Might have saved him some heartbreak.

And we still have absolutely no idea how Samuel Colt learned to make the everything-killing gun, or how to seal the Devil's gate. (I'm assuming that the gate itself was not his doing, only the locking mechanism closing it.)

The contrast between the Old West as depicted in singing cowboy movies of early Hollywood (clearly where Dean found his inspiration for the shirts) and grittier, more realistic views of it.

Oh, no reason. I just would have liked it if there were some mention of how a gunslinger/railroad builder in the Old West came by such specialized knowledge.

Dean must have gotten heartbroken and gotten over his heartbreak offscreen. I didn't notice anything other than a twinge when he took off the serape. And if the net of it all was acquiring the duster, win win.

Now that they know how to put more bullets in the Colt, I don't know if its origin story is more than trivia best suited to sometime they're not rushing.
