Artmetica did some amazing art for the dc_everafter adaptation of Enchanted. Some of her best work, IMO.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
ooh, gikun posted her finished art that Bev linked to earlier. [link] It really is exquisite. My only crit is that the hands are too large. But man, the faces are perfect and the staging is clear, Whumped!Castiel and Protector!Dean. Truly beautiful
Artmetica's pieces are beautiful. The style is too smooth and polished for my tastes, and I'm not a fan of the fairytale aspects, but otherwise, it's them.

Pretty much what I would say. They're lovely, but the smooth and polish pushes them to the edge of the Uncanny Valley for me. On the other hand, gikun's piece, while also polished, doesn't have the same effect (that piece is absolutely breathtaking).
Gikun manages to still have a rough and tumble feel --the dark colours help, but the effect doesn't come from something that simple. Maybe it's a simple matter of taste. I prefer bodily violence and angst over happy joyful schmoop. But I still gotta give props to Cas and Dean looking like Cas and Dean in a landscape where Dean seems to be so completely elusive to artists.
If asked whether a good SPN/Disney fusion were possible before last night I'd have asked what the questioner was smoking, but "Props" was a very enjoyable read for me.
One thing I've been wondering--did we ever get any indication of what happens to angels when they are killed, either by angel sword or by the kind of thing that Michael did to Anna?
I'm also kind of wondering what happened to the demons that were killed by Ruby's knife. Annihilation? Something else?

Double secret probation heaven? I don't think they've ever said, but maybe it's something like they go back to heaven, but they're out of commission for work on earth? More like a state of perpetual peaceful rest or something?
The Ruby's knife thing I know we discussed -- Sam told Dean it actually *killed* the demons, it didn't just banish them back to hell. So in that case, I guess purgatory?

I could see something like that, only for a rather limited definition of 'peaceful,' given what we know about SPN's Heaven. Maybe, given that Show has determined that purgatory exists, there's also a Limbo?
If the 'killed' demons go to Purgatory, that could open up the door for some very interesting reappearances.
For faithful (warrior) angels killed in the line of duty, limbo seems like a dubious reward, though.

Yeah, I'll be interested if we see inside Purgatory or what.
I always figured the poor bastards just ceased to exist. Cas wouldn't have been so aggrieved over his brothers and sisters dying if they just went back to Heaven without a hall pass.
