Randomly clicking (okay, it was called the Coat of Doom, I had to click), and a cool wardrobe note is that the coat future!Dean wears in The End is the coat Dean grabs in Point of No Return when he escapes the panic room to go say Yes to Michael.

But they weren't as ginormous as Sam.
The V staff stole Dean's jacket! I swear, the son just got given a jacket that's a spiritual clone. "His Dad's" too.
No!
I love her descriptions of Sam's shirts, but I wish she'd done jeans, too. They definitely have a few different pairs. And shoes! But I'm a completist.
I'm definitely interested in knowing more about their shoes. I was fascinated by Dean's feet on the table in And Then There Were None. I have a very clear imagination of what their shoes are like, but I don't know if I'm making them up. Basically non-brand Timberland-shaped boots, all the time. Although Jared mentioned at Paley that the rain was why Sam didn't wear sneakers past the first couple eps--it was always raining although we couldn't see it onscreen, so they gave him waterproof boots.
And I do remember reading somewhere that these are Jensen's own shoes.
Aw, giant wet feet.
I think she should have included their suits for faux!FBI days, too, come to think of it. They usually are suits, but at least once Dean had on khaki trousers and a sport coat, which startled me. I think it was the ghost ship episode.
What surprises me there is that even if they're not buying expensive suits, which I assume they're not, they still have more than two, which is a little odd.
Now I want an ep where they have to wait a day before a hunt to get their drycleaning done.
And tossing all their bloody clothing and having to go shopping at the Salvation Army (although I'd think they'd be wearing a lot more bad 80's and 90's clothes if they did that, maybe Dean shops at the Army Surplus store). (Actually, that might explain some of Sam's shirts...)
Also, from the preview clip of the western ep, Sam's shirt is hi-sterical. Dean's a giant wonderful dork with the serape, but Sam has a very Sammy two-stepping shirt on. The first crappy copy I watched I thought it was just a white button down. But the yoke is fantastic. (I think Dean was wearing a bolo tie, too, hee!) /wardrobe spoilers
I just have to say, my assumption when drawing Sam for my GBB project was that he'd be wearing a Western enough shirt from his own collection to pass. I just never got around to drawing that much detail. And my author put Cas in the serape instead of Dean, and Gabe got the bolo tie, but lo! It's all there.

Considering they are pretty consistently limited with the rest of their wardrobe, yeah. I mean, I can see it if they just have a bunch of ties, but that's not it.
I would love to see them shopping in, like, Penney's for FBI wear. In S1 (I think in Phantom Traveler?) it seems like the first time Dean's worn a suit, because he complains about it and keeps wriggling and adjusting when they walk out of the store. But they clearly picked up a couple more along the way.
It makes me weirdly sad to think of Sam in Palo Alto, buying a suit for the first time, because I think he would have needed one at one point or another. At least a sport coat and dress trousers. And that seems like something your dad should take you to do.
This moment of emo brought to you by ... well, me.
maybe they rent the suits? Or maybe in all those suited scenes, there were price tags hidden inside, and they returned them after the interviews.
