I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

To be honest, I can't picture her with the right hair - blue-black with her coloring, I don't know - but I don't really doubt that in the army of people working on the show someone will find a way to make her look all right. I can't understand people thinking she can't act. I don't know if she can do her own stunts, but she can certainly carry herself like she's a badass convincingly.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I can't understand anyone thinking she's SHORT.

Because books.

Maybe it's the curse of working with the Padamonster.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The kvetching people were pointing at a picture of Jess and Sam and saying it made her look short--except she doesn't look short next to him, because at that time, he didn't look like a monster yet. In heels she's closer to his height than the average woman to the average man.

Haters wanna hate.

I hate haters.

Haters wanna hate is exactly right. I love Adrienne Palicki, so I'm biased, but I don't care.

Traci Dinwiddie, who plays Pamela, was lobbying to get an audition, according to her Twitter. I don't know much (read: anything outside of vague memories of Lynda Carter) about Wonder Woman, but I think she might be a little old for the the role, right?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure she's older than they'd be looking at.

My dream casting was Gina Torres, but alas, we don't live in that world.

People are also complaining Adrianne's too young. She's older than Lynda Carter was when she got the role, but how is that relevant?

Amy - Feb 17, 2011 7:37:05 am PST #17959 of 30002
Because books.

Oh, Gina Torres. She should be in everything, though.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I think Adrienne Palicki would look fine as Wonder Woman: [link] I didn't even realize there was a show in the making. I'm worried with it being a David Kelley production, we're going to get Ally McBeal with a lasso.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Someone on my LJ flist posted asking if the Supernatural con experience described in this article about the LA Con is accurate. I don't know, as I've never been to any of the Creation cons, but it does sound kind of appalling. (Apparently that jam session with Jensen went for $1500.00 per person?!!!?) As far as the high prices go, I think it's a terrible amount of money to spend, but if someone chooses to spend their money on it, that's their choice. But the other question from the person on my flist was about the lack of other SPN contributors at the cons -- no writers, or directors, or FX people, and about the sparseness of the dealer room. She said that she'd be more inclined to go if she knew she'd be able to see and maybe ask questions of the writers and directors than just stand in line for a photo op with the guys.

Don't I remember someone on here making plans to go to some sort of gathering where she'd get to actually breathe in air that had touched one of the Impalas?

From what I've heard it's rude and disdainful, but the dollar amounts are correct. He also apparently underestimates the amount of contact at special events like the breakfast.

Creation in general have really hiked up the cost of cons. They're raking in a shitload, but there's a reason the Js and Misha do one a month, almost. They pay insanely well. Are other fandoms getting this much indulgence? So widespread, and so regular.
