I enjoyed this last episode because it was kind of nostalgic to have the motw back.
OMG, the way that JA said "squirrly" last night was hilarious.
You just reminded me. That was one of my favorite parts. Its cuteness factor is right up there with, "I like him. He says Okie Dokie."
Well, they haven't come face to face with her, but they certainly know she's going to be a problem.

There was one last week, wasn't there?
The "dragons" were more directly related to the Big Bad though. So kind of like Meg in Season 1, though we didn't know it until the end of the episode.
Since when can ghosts possess people on this show?
Since Dirk the Jerk in Afterschool Special. Hope for continuity's sake they remember the ectoplasm.
Plus racist trucks. Don't forget about them.
Though there the truck was the ghost, so it was a little different.
I guess what with them having to hunt down fairies and skinwalkers and the like I hadn't noticed a lack of monsters of the week.

I don't think that matters.
I think we've been conditioned (maybe thanks to Buffy) to equate a season's arc with a specific Big Bad, when it doesn't really have to be. There has to be a central conflict, but making it one specific entity is simply convenient. Even in S1, the arc was about finding Sir their dad, and learning about Azazel just happened to come out of that.
Same with S3. The central problem was getting Dean out of his deal, and the focus narrowed down to Lilith when it seemed she was the one holding the contract.
This season, the central *external* problem has really been why everyone is so interested in purgatory (and the internal, or personal, one has been learning to work as a team again, when Dean has been living a completely different life for a year and Sam has been walking around soulless). The Mother of All is clearly going to be a problem, and easy enough to call the Big Bad, but I would be willing to bet whatever's going on with purgatory could stretch into next season, no matter what happens with her.

@jonrog1 Dug out the #cortex #supernatural rules. Um, why did no one tell me these are kind of awesome?
Does this mean there is SPN RPG or does he mean supernatural in a general wizardy way? Is John a fan, and if so can he do a Leverage x-over? ita, you have assignments.
