It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I would go to that...I went to one once for Veronica Mars (what??) but I lucked into the ticket.

His eyes are green! Silly people.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Looks like Show is doing PaleyFest again.

(snif) Not as much fun without Kim. And Shiban. But on the plus side, Edlund!

Zatnikatel is a BNF, I understand, in circles I don't read much. But her Chrysler building foray into D/C was a hoot and a half. I'm trying to read Shine, which she's tagged as D/C pre-slash, and I just can't do it. The Michael!Dean premise is right there in the author's notes, and I thought I could make it past my aversion to the principle if it were well written, and I just can't. It makes strangers of who I should love.

Not only does her characterisation seem off, but the premise that suddenly Dean knows everything but still must acquire information, including through torture? Too logically inconsistent for me to hang out for the payoff.

She's the one who wrote the architectural porn?

Yup. I assume she made her name in J2 or Wincest. Her Dean is in service of the plot. Her Cas makes no sense. And the logic of the story seems fundamentally flawed and I don't see any reason to keep reading past CHAPTER NINE to see if she explains it. Too much investment.

I saw some buzz when she first wrote D/C. This pre-slash story is old enough that it's way Jossed in weird ways...wait, not Jossed. Crowley teleported in S5. She's decided demons can't do that now, for instance.

Her Sam is also oddly whiny. Is anyone familiar with her normal stuff? Is character a strength of hers?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Whiny Sam seems like such default lazy writing. Although my brother was hysterical as we watched my Christmas season 5 discs: "See, now, if that were Dean, he wouldn't be all 'please, no, don't hurt me!', he'd be all sarcastic and quippy and awesome". He's such a Dean boy. And then he mocked me for lusting after Dean's bowed legs. I guess his gayness only goes so far.

What kind of car is Ellen driving in Abandon All Hope?

OMG, okay, there's a reason I don't watch this ep often. It breaks my fucking heart. Oh Jo. Oh Ellen. And so many levels of Awesome.

Also, Cas' first UST with Meg, so there's that.
