Okay, what was the canon error in the io9 recap? I didn't see one. But I thought it felt sketchy and last-minute and strangely PR-ish, so.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
She corrected it. She originally said that Death made the deal over the bacon hot dog. But that was in the Chinese restaurant. The final convo was over the bacon hot dog.
It was rushed. She left out the Sam side of the plot. But it was net very positive, so that's good.

I'm all for net positive and getting people to watch. But I generally expect a little more meaty discussion of the episode from her.
