Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

starandrea.

It is DENSE with conversation. I still can't believe that it took place in only a week, it feels like it should have been a month or more. Dean is a workplace minister, following in his pastor-daddy's footsteps. Cas wanders the country saving people, shows up to fix the roof of the church in order to get close to Dean in order to save his life. It's actually kinda good, but it takes it's sweetass time going anywhere. And my god, do they talk forever.

Another warning: as a member of the church, Dean has to set an example of good Christian behaviour, and doesn't do one night stands or flings, so there's kissing and a lot of RST, but this is a Dean who waits for sex. And I'm still not sure about the end and what the twist is.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'll have to check that out. I don't think I've read it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Man, I'm a sucker for cryptic foreshadowing! Now I wanna know what's up with the soooooouls.

Tessa! Yay!

I just (finally) watched The Last Unicorn. Now I don't wanna read the fusion fic, dammit.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

My wild speculation...

Dean will be given the choice to go back to "All Hell Breaks Loose" and not make the crossroads deal .

...all my words have been taken by my work. - Mala

Laga, I can just see it now:

Dean doesn't bring Sam back from the dead and goes back to Lisa and Ben. The interwebs explode in a horrifying mass vitriolic venom directed at show creators. Fan outrage aside, from a narrative perspective, I can see how that might be satisfying. Then again, why not Mary who opts not to save John? I can see it now, the boys just disappear "poof".

I haven't thought that far ahead yet. But there was so much stress on The Natural Order of Things. On the other hand, that kind of meddling with fate ges back to Mary at least.

Somehow, for a million reasons, I can't see that happening. But I don't find it narratively satisfying either.

Because books.

It also goes back to Faith. I don't think there's an easy reset button in this universe, and I don't think for a minute the writers want to get rid of Castiel or other newer characters, either.
