It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Yes, still a Deangirl...but umf Sam.

I just don't get Samuel wanting his daughter back more than his wife. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me, except for how viewers know Mary as a character and not Deanna. Sloppy writing there.

I don't know. I'm divorced so not a fair judge of the relationships, but there wasn't a time that I remember after my son was born that I wouldn't have chosen to save him over my ex. I completely understood him doing that.

Art Crawl!!!

I agree that if Samuel thinks his daughter would forgive him for choosing her over saving her sons - he really doesn't know her. Is it excusable that he died before she was even married?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

As the Meg/Castiel kiss was going down, I was hoping they were pulling a fast one and switching meatsuits so any demonic/angelic countermeasures would be used against the wrong one.

Meh. I pretty much hated this episode. I found the constant innuendo tedious, the torture porn as awful as it always is, and pretty much everyone's motivation murky.

The one shining moment was Crowley going up in flames before he finished saying no.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have so much fucked up love for this episode, it's not even right. Take out the nekkid Meg torturing and I'd enshrine it.

I don't know where to start.

Okay, I do. Dean is going to fuck Samuel's shit UP. He's going to kill FAMILY. Sam threatened to kill Castiel. Castiel called Dean boy. He BAMFed in all senses. He had an erection. Or two. He was the mack daddy. Sampa lost his mind.

I buy that, by the way. Not in a good or healthy way, but in a torn-from-me I'm-raised-from-the-dead life-is-fucked way.

God, that was too much fun.

They killed Crowley! Bye, bye! No king in hell! And Sam is walking away! I love that Sam was all about the mission and saving Dean and all that even without the finer emotions, but homeslice has a point.

I love Team Free Will so freaking much right now it gives me an ache.

Angel woodie! I hope the D/C kiddies are writing the correct codas right now. This is even more fertile than 5x03.

(Finally caught up in this thread, sheesh.)

Except for Living Chibi Paul Gross, Gerard Way.

Sorry, I just had to re-post that statement.

Take out the nekkid Meg torturing and I'd enshrine it.

I kind of agree with this. Also, *right* before Meg kissed Castiel, I was thinking "Huh. Apparently I ship Meg/Cas. I bet that will get stomped in canon."

Dude, they killed off Crowley! One of my favorites! But in a badass way, so I'm mostly okay with it.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'm not remembering. What did Dean do that Samuel's interpreting as him turning his back on Mary? I'm assuming it was something that happpened one of the times he was in the past.

Asking (telling) Samuel to give up on Mary and help them get to where Crowley was (thus dooming Samuel's chances at getting his daughter back, the daughter he probably remembers dooming during his time as the meatsuit) so they could save Sam's soul was how I read it.

I must be a really bad wife. Choosing between my spouse and my kid? I'd choose the kid.

I kind of enjoyed the Meg torture, because she was such a fucking bad-ass during it. I, umm. Also inappropriately ship them. That was... really kind of hot.
