Do we have any rumors about another season?
Jensen and Jared are apparently signed up for a putative S7. They also said plotting has gone as far as S8. But there has been no word about series renewal.
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Yeah, I think the boys are committed at this point. It surprised me, but I think both will stay as long as the season is renewed, or through season 10, whichever is first.
It's hard to judge with the CW. I have no idea how Smallville compares in ratings, or One Tree Hill, but they've kept both of those on despite stars leaving. I think Gossip Girl and Vampire Diaries gave them a fresh hit of viewers, too, so it seems like if something works and has fans, they keep it?
That said, even though I love them all like cake, I sort of don't want the Js to get pigeonholed as those ghost-fighting brothers.
I want to see the fabulous movies they'd make if they weren't tied to SPN shooting schedule. I want to see the characters they'd inhabit, the areas they could expand into, beyond the limits of Sam'n'Dean. And I'd like to see it before they're fifty and playing dad to the new crop of vapid teenie ingenues.
In the short term, I'm far happier with 22 hours a year of the Sam & Dean Show than getting one My Bloody Valentine and The Christmas Cottage. Odds are slim they would be providing me as much entertainment even if they got cast in good movies.
Dammit Matt, I had almost managed to force The Christmas Cottage out of my memory, and there you had to go and dredge it back up again.
It just won't die.
I wonder if we'll get a Friday the 13th episode now that we changed nights. We had MBV.
I guess since none of Sam's women have actually died while having sex with him, those episodes wouldn't qualify...
I keep forgeting to say that I wish Kim Manners could have seen the opening this week. Even if he thought it was corny, I bet he would have got a kick out of it on some level.
eta: I remembered again tonight because I'm working my way through an initial watch of the X-files. Yes, I was that one person who didn't see it. I got all the Mulder and Scully pop references though; I just didn't know which one was the red headed woman. So anyway, I am up to Season 3 Episode 15 tonight and before I started it, "The truth is in there" from Friday came to mind again.
Huh.
Well, I have to say that I watched it Saturday night (Chicago was deprived!) with a friend and we both heard Fairy Expert Lady say that Dean was taken to "serve as Oberon" while everyone else in the world heard "service Oberon". I was guessing a year of living high on the hog and then a ritual sacrifice at the end of it. (And so was my friend. . . clearly we think alike and that's why we're friends.)
