I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I shouldn't answer that.

Because books.

mishacollins: @hils_k if you're still conscious by the second mention of robot heads, you haven't drunk enough.

I assume he's talking about Stonehenge Apocalypse. Heh.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Please tell me there aren't TWO movies out there that feature Misha ranting about robot heads.

As for Dean getting deported back to the physical world, was the knife he was waving around Ruby's? That might make a big difference from just a sting-y cold iron weapon, assuming its effects work on supernatural creatures other than demons.

I would say that iron is iron. And steel is refined iron, afaik. And I wouldn't be surprised if Ruby's knife, or any other knife Dean or Sam wields, was either. No need to make it special, unless Show deems it so. Maybe I've read too many Demien recaps about the Gun That Can Kill Anything Except When It Can't.

Other abductees may have fought back, but Dean was taken with both knife and gun drawn. Big difference from throwing punches and wiggling a lot.

I have read that other bullets are encased in copper and other alloys, but maybe the boys have special iron rounds? For other ghouls? Or maybe Sam got them specially for the leprechaun?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Dean pulled out two beers, wordlessly offered one to Sam who waved it off, and Dean dropped it back into the cooler. I didn't notice any other signs of blocking the cooler away by stepping on it or otherwise. But Dean definitely extended the beer to Sam.

I missed that, thank you! I thought it was odd enough at the time that it registered so strongly with me. I'm sorta glad I was wrong.

leonidaslion did a table of fics of Dean taken by the fae. It's influencing my perception of canon Dean + fairies.

table of fics?

They're table charts on a theme: one word prompts, one fic per prompt.

I've seen them done with one photograph or fragment of a photo, or a drawing, per square, as prompts.

That's one of the more interesting thematic areas of fanfic. Every so often someone will do a roundup of all the stories out there that feature the the guys interacting with the fae, or the the guys being abducted by the fae, or the guys being incorporated into various fairy tales.

Soul-less Sam and his lack of caring about not having/using a filter does crack me up. Because really, who doesn't want to just tun off the filter and let fly with the uncensored inner monologue from time to time? If one has a filter in the first place, that is. Mine's pretty restrictive most days, thank god, but the temptation is strong. Yes.

Because books.

I think "It looks like Sedona, Arizona, crapped in here" was my favorite Samism of the episode.
