Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

fic question: is it really necessary to warn for the characters not using protection? I'm not terribly worried about them getting STDs, or them unduly influencing young'ns.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have read people who have barebacking squicks, so I guess it's just being nice.

Me, I like the nice place of angel sex with no disease and minimal bodily function.

Huh. That's completely opposite from how I thought it was meant.

I am ridiculously excited for tomorrow night. The latest promo/sneak peak had me in stitches.

Just the use of the term "barebacking" as a warning, when the only other setting I've seen it it (actual porn) it's been used as an incentive to watch, not a "turn away if this isn't your bag". Or, at least, that's how I interpreted it.

I am ridiculously excited for tomorrow night

This is the first time in a long time I've looked forward to an episode with this much optimism.

As far as I can tell, people are using warnings as a search tool as well as an avoidance tool. I've just not recently read anyone say "Ooh! Barebacking!" where I have seen "Ew! Barebacking!" But then again, I did read an extended "Ew! Oral sex with no condoms!" discussion, so there you go.

Where can I make prompts? I wish I was a writing fool, but alas, I only occassionly have vague ideas.
