Eh, not so keen on seeing young Dean, they've never found an actor that suits me in that role. Whereas if Sam had been played by Colin instead of JP from the start Dean might not be my favorite.
I would be totally onboard for Wee!Sam and John Winchester interaction if they could ever get Jeffrey Dean Morgan back, though.

I would hope, based on the alpha vampire, that the progenitor of lycanthropy would have something a little more grandiose in mind than playing house as Rin Tin Tin.
